Okay I am buying a new bong and I have came down to two choices. Which do you guys think will hit/perc better? I never buy oil only flowers.
Single fritted disc and a double honey comb.
I would just get the double fritted but its $60 more and I dont want to spend that unless you guys think its totally worth it.
Single fritted disc. $100
http://www.thickassglass.com/collections/water-pipes-1/products/tag-15-dragless-single-fritted-disc-to-spinning-splash-guard-7mm
Double Honey Comb. $100
http://www.thickassglass.com/collections/water-pipes-1/products/16-double-honeycomb-water-pipe-7mm-thick-w-spinning-splashguard
On both of them Im just getting clear with maybe a black label or no label.

Its the exact piece but you can get one with no graphics and no coloring which is actually what I prefer.

I'm with Mag on the double. That's what I'd get if it was me.
I wanted to go to the site to read up on them. But it seems they want debit card info just to view it fuck that.

Seems the concensus here is honey comb.
Mainly what I am worried about is these pieces clogging too. Would you guys say the fritted clogs more? I am being told without an ash catcher both will be clogging fast.

The fritted filters are small glass shards sintered together to make small labyrinth paths through the filter. These not only clog quickly, but because the paths have random geometry (diameter, length, general path through filter, etc.), there is no guarantee of even flow through all of the pathways.
Its kind of a crapshoot with fritted filters. The only way it would be worth it is if they did functional testing on the filter prior to installation. The honeycomb percs are very consistent and insure even flow across the perc, which minimizes resistance to pull and clogging.

I'm really glad you posted this because I ended up buying the double honey comb and was worried that it was the wrong choice. I was getting a lot of mixed messages when I asked on boomery.
Thanks for the insight, what you said actually makes sense and I could see why that would happen and how you could end up with a shitty fritted disc. The one in the video seemed fine but like you said they're all different.
I'll post pics of the double honey comb once it arrives. It was $110 shipped.

I always have ISO and salt on hand, I like to keep my pieces nice and shiny! Usually the bowl piece is what gets stained with resin, but I still try to soak it when I can.
Cant wait to try this thing, should arrive on Friday but hopefully sooner. Best part was it being only $100 for some quality glass!!

I got the bong on friday! Been hitting it all weekend, it hits so nice. Every pull is super smooth and this glass is THICK AS FUCK. 7mm all the way around and even the screened bowl piece is super nice, crazy thick as well.
