 Whats the best/cheapest way to extract trim?

Just harvested and I have about a 1/4 pound of trim and popcorn bud. I want to make oil or hash.
I was thinking either bubble bags, I may be able to borrow some so that would be cheep...
Failing that I figured QWISO would be the next cheepest?
Anyone have any suggestions?

I fucking love my QWISO and if you're any good with it, it comes out just the same as all that other shit. Short of a BHO rig that's the best avenue IMO. Simple to make, simple to store, easy to smoke and you can add it directly to butter and simmer for less than 5 minutes to make edibles.

I have unlimited access to %99 ISO so ya I figured QWISO was my best bet. Any way to clean it up? I remember it always being pretty black every time I did it with ISO...

Fuck rubbing alcohol. Go down to bevmo and pick up some everclear. So much better and you dont get that nasty aftertaste.

I don't notice much of a taste from it, and if you're doing it correctly, all of the alcohol should be removed. Plus, it's much more cost effective to use iso.
OP: Another step I've tried is to let the alcohol solution sit in the freezer overnight and then put it through a coffee filter. It seems to be somewhat effective, but if you do it right it shouldn't be necessary. Good luck.

I have lab grade filter papers. So Im not worried about getting the extract free of debris, but it always looks like black oil when I do QWISO and id like something a little nicer to look at...

How long do you let it sit? I chill the iso beforehand and do a quick wash. I'm sure there are instructional videos available.

Ive always chilled the iso also and I do a quick wash, maybe 3 minutes absolute max. It always looks dark green or black.

Theres your problem. I shake for under a minute. Freeze bud and iso. Combine and shake like a fucking lunatic for about 30 - 40 seconds. Filter. Mine looks amber or white in the pan and scrapes up like bubble. Melts in your hands but is grainy until compressed like kief almost.
You can do a second wash but do it as fast as possible. I call that my trash hash and only use it for hiding a snake in the grass
