Maybe I'm biased since I have some of these in the oven, but I think these might be the sexiest plant pics I've ever seen. Cannaventure - Cookie Wreck.
I genuinely believe in girl scout cookie crosses as being deserving of the hype they get. Only problem is that there are fake cookies crosses around. BCBD does not have real cookies.

You know I pretty much agree with you but I do have a GSC from the original breeder and do believe it's a great strain but I also believe it's a fad. (of course that's not stopping me from a ton of projects that have GSC in them). I just don't believe that it has the staying power of a GDP, Trainwreck, and so on. The strain is more like a snow cap, blue dot, cheese and so on.
The way to know the fad strains is that the first thing people do is try to make them better. GSC turned into Platinum Cookies and so on. You don't see Platinum Granddaddy.
Here is a weird way to sum it up but the difference between the fad strains (and don't get me wrong GSC and it's related strains are killer) is that fad strains have other strains added to them. The true muscle strains are the ones that are added to other strains to make them better.

I know exactly what you're saying, but I think when you combine the timing(in the history of cannabis), the catchy name, it's ability to change and still be thought of as GSC, the fad/overhype potential, and consider that it's actually really good when crossed with the right shit... I think it has major staying power. I think it has a more modern or new age kind of staying power that stands to define the future of cannabis commercialism. AKA I think it might not ever be huge by itself, but some future cross or crosses of it may be what the majority of the market wants. Although I'm doing a lot of speculating based more on information than experience.
All I know is I went from assuming it was all hype to wanting to find a better GSC cross than the already awesome single plants I've had that were great even far from being optimally grown. Sinmint cookies was soo tasty.
BTW I just wanted to share this connoisseur genetics facebook post from a few months ago to potentially spread some omitted GSC history. It seems a little like a deal was struck to keep this quiet, but the connoisseur genetics guy wasn't part of that deal and maybe shared it while drunk and never expected people like me to save it.

I only know of six people who KNOW the real story. Me, my wife, the two drivers, Berner and Jigga.
St. George (not his real name) is a killer breeder north of Laytonville. He crossed Cherry Pie with Chemdawg and called it CherryPieKush. It had a couple phenos, I settled on what is known as cookies. He gave it too a few of us and asked us not to call it Cherry Pie Kush yet because it was not stable and threw a few seeds. When the driver reached Berners he asked Berner to not call it CPK, Berner was eating actual girl scout cookies when it arrived and said it tasted like girl scout cookies. The day it showed up he named it and marketed it as girlscoutcookies. If you can find it in youtube comments you will see that when I quized Jigga he admits (We call that pre-cookies). Im sure they have front crossed it.
But as far as them saying that they created the strain, thats bullshit. They need to give at least Chemdawg his credit even if St. George wants to remain silent. Early in life it smells like lemon pledge (thin mints?) but if you wait till it is ready the smell changes to the cherry pie smell"
It's a little misleading since it almost suggests that someone stole the genetics, but it's not so sinister as that. It's more that details are left out of the official story and the breeder who stands to profit huge from GSC(with an upcoming DNA series) didn't do all the hard work that went into creating what is now GSC, but he implies he did all the work. I almost suspect he bought the rights to claim he created the strain and maybe that's why people like berner purposely avoid mentioning this part of the GSC story even when given opportune moments.
What I want to know is wtf is F1 Durban and why isn't that more popular?

So uhm 2 of 2 had hermie traits, but were also sprayed with STS so it may be because of that, but make sure to examine closely if you run this. it's actually a very uniform kind of hermie trait with 1 male sac on each bud site, which is very easy to remove.

It was grown by foundation holistic who have a collection of some of the most amazing bud shots I've ever seen, which are on instagram. I think they might grow their shit using nutrients from "microbe hydroponics". They are also a seed bank
I grew 2 cookiewrecks and neither looked like that, but 1 made for some absolutely amazing smoke. the other wasn't bad and smells like kerosene, cherry, and maybe a little mint.
