Theres different promixes...
ive used the HP and the BX for bud plants and also for ficus trees and they work fine right out the bag.
its a good soil just a lil pricey but the mychorrizae are badass...but you can also innoculate cheaper brands of soil.
i get annoyed how this thread keeps getting resurrected after a while...there is no BEST organic soil. Find something that suits your style of grow. FFOF is good, ProMix is good, ive heard other brands are good, you can make your own...and if you want more drainage for whatever reason then just add a lil perlite.
coco + perlite + compost + mychorrizae...boom you got an organic mix right there on the cheap.
the key to good organics is having a healthy and diverse mix of things. The more diversity the better. Then innoculate some microbes with a root drench. Easy.
Most people still feed with an organic gro and bloom anyways so dont get too hyped up on which mix is best.
the ONLY brand ive heard BAD reviews on is Roots Organics. Some mixes are weird like the hydroponic coco one which is like 95% perlite and the original mix is notorious for coming with fungus gnats or mold in the bag.
