Steven Spielberg has been accused of slaughtering an animal — except his alleged victim is already extinct.
The Oscar-winning director was denounced on Facebook for killing a dinosaur after Jay Branscomb posted a photo of him on his social media account Sunday. The picture showed Spieberg posing with a mechanical triceratops, which was taken on the set of 1993’s “Jurassic Park.”
“Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a triceratops he just slaughtered,” Branscomb joked in a Facebook post that has since gone viral. “Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.”
Since Branscomb posted the Spielberg photo just a few days after 19-year-old Kendall Jones provoked outrage for posting pictures of herself with animals she shot while on an African safari, many people took the joke seriously, and responded with comments that condemned Spielberg for his supposed actions.
“Steven Spielberg has absolutely no respect for animals,” one person wrote. “Posing in front of this poor dead animal like that. Barbaric.”
Like, OMG how could you kill an innocent (c)reature like that???!!! What did it ever to do you???!! Like, what is wrong with you???!!” said another.
“One day we realize that we are killing all animals on this planet and we need them to survive,” another misguided animal lover wrote. “But when we realize it will be too late.”
What a sad, disgusting scene ... a wry smile on his face while this once proud mother animal breathes it's last ... leaving the babies cowering in the brush to slowly, painfully starve to death ... oh the humanity!!” seethed another Facebook user.
Some only understood the joke halfway, recognizing that the photo was from “Jurassic Park” but not realizing that Branscomb had posted it satirically.
“Hey Branscomb, are you really that f------ much of a(n) idiot. Ever seen the movie called Jurassic Park. Most of you that think this is a Triceratops, like this idiot that posted this,” he wrote.
Many more Facebook users wrote messages that mocked those who thought the photo was genuine, resulting in Branscomb's post receiving more than 10,000 likes and close to 6,000 comments to date. As for Branscomb, he reacted to the overwhelming response by declaring that it “looks like I finally won the Internet (this week).”
In a separate post, he wrote, “Only a fool decides that’s true based on what he really really wants to be true.”

I saw this yesterday as well. I am sure that there are some people who were dumb enough to think it was real.

This is what politically correctness does to a society. So many people are looking for flaws in others to exploit and use to make themselves look more righteous and tolerant than the last.
Fuck the world, seriously. Fuck it.
