Is this plant producing seeds?
    #736329 - 06/16/14 02:15 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Please tell me these arent seeds forming...Ive never had a male plant so Ive never seen one in person, but based on pics around the web I cant find any open pollen sacks anywhere or anything on any of my plants resembling male parts. This is a Sannie's Jack Herrer (almost completely sativa) in week 11 of flowering.

I cut off one of the tiny seed looking things with a clean scalpel but its completely soft...if they were seeds would they be hard yet?

I can't tell from these pictures...  I've had a few immature seed pods on my plants and they were all really soft at first.  Those buds look fanTASTIC though.

Can't say much else on the subject unfortunately.

If I had to guess I'd say you might get a couple of those tiny green/white seeds by harvest time, maybe.  Maybe not.

Would need a closer shot.  I'm sure someone else can tell from further though.  Chances are if it looks like it, it probably is.  You've seen weed I'm sure. I posted a thread like this and it just confirmed my already obvious suspicions.

I wish it the best though.  Looks like it'll be pretty killer either way.

I don't see any definitive signs of seed pods

Yeah they're all over. I just went through every inch of every plant and cant find any pollen sacks at all. No idea how this happened.

I could be wrong, but it seems like I read something awhile back that talked about mature buds being covered with empty seed pods? Any chance that's whats going on? I really dont think there is any pollen anywhere in my grow room. I was going to wait another week but Im tempted to go ahead and harvest now.

Same happened to me.  Sucks floppy dicks.  At least our seedy nugs will still look better than Plagos.

Only 1-3 buds total show any signs of having seeds, but my plant is about 2 weeks behind yours and I shocked it with a nute burn at one point.

Also not looking nearly as nice.

Upon further investigation of all the buds, sure enough I found some tiny nanners. Im guessing my whole flowering room is fucked now. I had this plant in the corner and didnt visually inspect it enough and now I'm going to pay for it.

Where exactly did you find them?  I don't really know where to look.  I try looking under the buds to see if they're coming out the bottoms but I only see the original pre-flowers there.

I figured that's the only place I would find them, since I can't check inside the buds.

They were growing right out of the buds, look like a tiny cluster of bananas. Found 4, still looking. Plant has been removed from grow room for early harvest but Im sure its probably too late...if it already pollinated itself its pollinated my entire room because of my fan.

Ahhh.....man that suck cause the seeds are useless. One of two things is most likely gonna happen. The seeds are gonna mature (which from what I can see are gonna take about 3 or 4 weeks to finish or the seeds are not going to grow big but you're gonna have a shit ton of these little miniature immature seeds that are a bigger pain in the ass to take out of smoke then the big seeds are.

Water kills pollen so when the plants are finished just mist the inside of the flowering area with water you don't need to put anything in it.

Could I mist it now even with the plants in there just in case some of my plants that are just now starting to flower havent been affected yet?

Yeah you can. Just be sure not to hit any dense buds cause you may cause rot.

Might risk botryitis/eh, I mean Bud Mold. Forgot how to spell it. Maybe it wouldn't be an issue if you had low enough RH, but it could create a whole new problem.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt, seek out some more experienced advice than mine, but I wouldn't rock the boat if it isn't sinking yet.

Its aint the end brother, your buds still look amazing. Besides if you are that anal (which I completely understand) about the seeds then make some edibles, hash, or oil. Those things look so tasty and juicy you'd come out smelling like roses no matter what you chose to do with it. Unless its a commercial thing then it would be a huge issue.

Just an update, I think I *may* have dodged a bullet. I jarred it today and it seems like all the pods are empty. I may find a few but it looks to be at least 90% clean of seeds.
