After this I'm probably going to take a break for a couple months until it cools off a bit. Then I can start again and use my grow as a heater instead of having to battle it with the AC, causing outrageous power bills. Can always grow cubes all summer to keep myself busy...

Eh they've taken a beating from my lack of feeding knowledge but thank you, I think they're quite beautiful considering the type of weed those seeds probably came from and the degree of experience I have. No matter what happens the buds coming from these are still going to be better than whatever the fuck I had originally, eh?
I probably won't be doing bagseed again after this though. I want guaranteed females, proven genetics, even growth, etc. Having to feed them all different amounts at different times has been a pain in the ass.

Got some more pics this evening. The HPS bulb makes shit look SO weird. I thought the MH bulb was pretty odd but this blows those weird discolorations out of the water. (Note that these can only be seen via camera, they look fine in person, grow light or otherwise)
I think I'm gonna geek out about these buds forming every day until they're ready.
One of the buckets was kind of smelly so I did a flush with a very light peroxide solution, hoping for the best on that one. Probably need some hygrozyme or something to decompose some of the dead shit that might be in there.

One of the smaller ones hermed so I chopped it... have some premature buds drying now that will probably not really do anything since they didn't get to enter the real production stage.

Starting to get a little frosty. The leaves are yellowing though, I've tried feeding it more to compensate, no sign of overfeeding yet, so I'm just going to keep ramping it up unless someone suggests otherwise.
The only obvious deficiency I see is that of N.
I know with some strains it's totally unavoidable though. How can I know if I'm in the sweet spot if all the leaves are gonna start looking like shit anyway?

I don't know much about growing, but I would increase the amount of N youre feeding it slowly if youre sure that its deficient

Yellow leaves could also be caused by things like a lack of Iron or Magnesium...

They're still holding up, not getting much yellower. I gave it a somewhat light flush of almost full strength nutrient water today, so hopefully if there were any issues at all, they'll probably be resolving themselves soon. It's definitely hungry and it's definitely becoming more fuzzy around the buds every day. Not sure if what I'm seeing is trichomes on the leaves near the buds but, it looks good and crystalline.
There was a weird ph thing with the runoff of this plant a few weeks ago but I've tested it recently and it's very clear and consistent now. I think the Big Bloom kind of throws it off a bit. I know that only using the Grow Big and Tiger bloom, in the right proportions, I don't even have to ph the water before feeding. But I think Big bloom might be slightly basic so after some of the nutrients were absorbed the ph might have been swinging up.
I've definitely learned a lot just by the experience of failing so at the very least, my next grow is looking a lot brighter.
Down to 3 plants, one of which is taking its sweet ass time to form buds, the other is tiny and I would be surprised if it produced a single gram, but it does have a bud.
On the topic of deficiencies, I don't really have anything around for treating specific deficiencies so I kind of just have to give more general feeding solution and hope it evens out.

just make sure you don't create another problem or 2 by trying to fix one problem. if youre going to make adjustments like that do it slowly.
good luck and cant wait to see how they turn out

Thanks, all my weight is on this one plant at this point. If it decides to herm or encounters ANY further problems at all, the whole grow may be compromised.
Sucks but, I gotta keep trying, the buds look so nice so far.

yeah well, you said you were a newer grower, ive read that newer growers usually worry and use too many nutes. just try to pinpoint the problem and correct it slowly if you use too many nutes you will raise the chances of it turning into a hermie also. I don't know if you've seen the chart they have around here somewhere, but it identifies common problems with plants and gives you a visual representation of them.

Yeah I have plenty of charts printed out and whatnot. I was nute burning some of the plants I had during the beginning but I've gotten better about picking up on those signs, and now that it's so big, it's been using a lot more than I thought it would.
I'm not worried about burning this one, I haven't once fed it full strength according to the feeding chart I have.

Okay I may have burned it slightly trying to ramp up, just like was warned might happen. Will the yellowness in the leaves go away with any proper amount of feeding or should I just assume that's normal for this stage, if I can't combat it with feeding?
You can see the slightly burnt tips around the buds. =\ Other than that I think they look great. That might just be me though.

I can't stop taking pictures of these buds. They're starting to thicken up a bit and despite how much I've thought this has been a failure they're looking pretty damn good. Notice the one tiny plant that barely has 4-5 nodes that still has produced a tiny little bud. It smells pretty decent and is at least easy to water. One of the plants though, isn't really producing buds nearly as fast as the others. I guess it stalled or something in the beginning of flower. No dicks or anything that I can see, but it seems to be picking up a little. You can really only see that one in the background.
What do the raised ridges on the leaves mean exactly? I know it's not healthy, just that it's surviving. =\

I started with a good number of them but I did a lot of "learning" along the way which involved some of them dying or getting nute burn. The rest were males, and only one female hermed. So far I have two females producing buds more or less on schedule and another that's just kind of stalled that I've been watching closely in case it herms.
I'm at about 5 weeks and my main plants fan leaves are getting yellow as fuck, kind of worries me. I hope it makes it the rest of the way through.

Got some shots from 5/21 here, you can better see how the plant looks in its 5 gallon bucket. I think it's gonna fall over soon if I don't get some support going on, it's been swaying a bit. Some red hairs have been coming in. I think it's at about day 35-40 of flower, not sure exactly.
Think it'll pull through for the last 3-4 weeks of flowering?
