 Just got home from the 2014 Cannabis Cup!!!  2

thought i'd toss up some pictures from the cannabis cup since i havent seen any posted yet. i can't be the only one here that went... anyway, i had a great time. 2 days of lots of smoking, weed/bho/solventless. incredibles edibles even had a medicated chocolate waterfall (chocolatefall?) it was pretty fuckin sweet. got a lot of free t shirts, bought a couple, lots of free lighters too which is nice. Vape Oregon was throwing out all kinds of stuff to the crowd that gathered around their tent. i ended up snagging 4 nogoo jars, one of which ended up having some hash in it, and i managed to snatch a t shirt out of the air too. i went up to the DNA Genetics booth hoping to find seeds, but they just had some shirts and hats for sale. the guy working there was breaking up weed and asking a buynch of people for papers and tips, i had plenty of each so i hooked him up, he turned around and gave me a nice DNA Genetics shatter t shirt  tommy chong was there yesterday signing autographs and taking pictures, but i totally missed that booth. some friends i was with ran into him when we split up 
anyway, i really had a great time. it was amazing, I LOVE WEED!!! happy late 4/20 everyone!!!

The cannabis cup reminds me of a quilt show. Don't mistake me though, I would go if given the chance, it would be awesome to say I got to go to a cannabis cup.
But honestly it seems like a bunch of people sharing weed and salesmen trying to make a buck. I might have my assumptions way off, but that's just what I get from it. LIke I said. it would be awesome to go, its just not something on a bucket list of mine.
I would like to go to that Austrailian version of the cannabis cup. WHat is it, the Nimbin cup or something?
Nice haul btw brother! Glad you got attend such an awesome thing.

lots of free dabs, joints, some edibles. the medicated chocolate waterfall was pretty awesome.
lol, i think its funny some of you say you dont think it would be worth going to. the ticket was like 70 bucks for a 2 day pass. in my opinion it was totally worth it, not sure what some of you are talking about. if you love weed, you would have had a fucking BLAST. there were 70,000 people there, everyone was having fun and getting along, and nothing bad happened!!! everyone was just so happy to be there, smoking legally, and showing everyone what they had. i'd say it was totally worth 70 bucks to go see all the new stuff in the marijuana world, see some famous faces, and check out the newest glass, vaporizers, enails, all kinds of new accessories. got a good deal on a small bong. shit, cant complain. totally worth going to, to celebrate 4/20 after marijuana being illegal for 70 years... if i would have bought everything i got for free i would have paid way over the ticket price.

not really.
my friends flew in roundtrip from chicago to denver for $70 a piece. the cup ticket was about 70 bucks. 2 nights at a laquinta in was $285. it helps that i live here for sure. but really. its like any other vacation.

Oh dude hell yeah!! I'm pretty down I was unable to go, I'm currently located in Colorado Springs which is only an hour from Denver, it was like you could see the haze behind the mountains hahaha. I'm so happy you were able to make it, thanks for this post  I'll be there next 420 for sure~

Man I re read my post and felt like I owed you an apology brother. I didn't mean to come off like " whoa...I'm too cool to be going to the cup."
I didn't mean it like that at all man. My bad. The tickets I have seen for sale are like anywhere from 300 to 400 bucks and then of course the travel expenses on top of that make for a really expensive trip. Just wouldn't be worth it for me. It would be awesome to go, but finance-wise its totally an unreal expectation I would have.
I still think its really commercialized....at least as much as pot can be.lol. And the notion that only friends of high times (i.e. greenhouse and barneys) win the cups totally kills it for me.
Sorry dude I wasn't trying to steal any thunder or undermind your experience. I am happy for you and glad you got so much free shit.
Congrats dude and sorry if I came off like an asshole before.

all good man, no biggie
it is a bit commercialized, but i think thats a good thing. its helping marijuana become mainstream. the cannabis cup is kind of like a big trade show because they cant just straight up sell weed there legally under colorado law. they did give away joints and dabs though.
as for the friends of barney's or whoever always winning is definitely not true when it comes to the US cannabis cups. (i cant speak for the cannabis cup in amsterdam) with the shitty laws here in colorado, they cant allow just anyone to be a judge at the cup. they arent legally allowed to distribute that much cannabis, same with the 710 cup here. so the judges are top breeders and other famous names in the industry from all over the world. all the bud is in numbered bags so no one knows what theyre smoking. they even had a contest last year at the 710 cup for the competitors who entered. they had to look over the 70+ types of hash and find THEIR entry!

i was there, it was sick dude...the first day when there were giant lines we straight walked around the building and found an enterance that wasnt supposed to be open we were like the first 100 people in there, there werent even lines at the stations
i went to the glass show on friday, met buck and laceface, both such cool people, so down to earth. ripped a dab with buck on sunday at illuzions too 
i also saw tommy chong and said hey hows it goin pretty much lol

i was takin a dab and exhaled, and turned around (this was sunday) and boom tommy chong is just showing up to the cloud booth haha like 5 ft from me, it was super random and awesome
