Why is it that we pic that day to be the weed smokers day? I'm not bitching but it's not the happiest day in the world.

How did that day get picked there must be some reason or story to it?

Legend has it some stoners from San Rafael High would toke up at a Louis Pasteur statue every day at 4:20 sometime in the early 70s. It eventually become a code around the school and eventually the world.
Some highschool kids used it as a codeword and then hightimes talked about it.. In one of the other 420 threads it is discussed.
I always hear people saying it has something to do with Bob Marley like its the day he died or something.. Truth is most people who use the word probably don't know but its ingrained now.

I remember hearing something like that but you've told me more then I knew just in that little bit.

Thats what I was always told was the definite truth. I remember hearing a lot of shit about it in the past "durr its the police code for marijuana", "its how many chemicals are in derp something derp", etc.
I choose to believe the school one, simply because it makes the most sense to me.
All I know is that its my birthday and also happens to be the biggest weed day in the world,
