My house is rigged up with a multi-stage system but our well water is so good we aren't running it. I've lived on deep well water since I was born. I can't even bare a glass of municipal water.

I don't know what I would do without my reverse osmosis system. Not only do my pets and I love the water, but my fish as well. I have somewhat of a unique reverse osmosis system, where it is designed for two outputs, where one is for drinking water, and the other is meant for the aquarium, and I would never go back to tap, or any other filtered water.

What model and how much? Distillers seem pretty high compared to RO systems and most only do a small container at a time. It would be easier to just fill it up and get clean water than to mess around with your plumbing though.

This is the water distiller i purchased.
You fill it with 4L of water... and i got it on a timer.... in 3:10 it shuts off, and it has 3.5L of water distilled and ready
Tastes great too

I considered buying a distiller first, but they don't remove the fluoride and heavy metals.

I have well water here (so no fluoride)
but distilled water is the purest water you can get.

Yeah heavy metals are not going to precipitate with the steam... or flouride.

big thing about distilling is NOT to let it run dry.... once it runs dry all the junk can be cooked up and evap'd
I make sure to leave .5 of a Liter so it keeps all the junk in the bottom.
