Mag you ever seen the lumatek bulbs?
They claim to have a higher PAR output, and are at 2050K.

I love my baddass bulbs and ballasts from advanced nutrients 
4th best bulbs according to that bulb test video.. 
guess hortilux takes the cake. 
which one of these sun system 6" air cooled hoods is best?

Lumatek used to be the only way to go for ballasts, but they've had some SERIOUS issues lately with faulty products and terrible customer service. I personally wouldn't buy one of their products right now until they get it all sorted out.

some of these combos ive been seeing come with both HPS and MH you know for vegging and flowering
whats yalls opinion on that?? some say its best to do it that way
the combos that are like that aint too much higher than those without and at the least it will spare some life on the HPS knowwut I mean??
just lookin at LEDs and some of this other newfangled stuff
any yall fool with LEDs??

I've got a nanolux 1000W ballast and it's small and works well, only issue is after a while it starts producing a constant high pitched ringing sound.

I don't know how much stock I put in it being mandatory to veg under MH, but for the size of a setup you're thinking, you're absolutely going to want a separate vegging area.

I was hoping to keep a couple mamas and my clone machine in there
ohh yeah was planning on getting the EZ Clone 128 or the Turbocloner 144? I think was how many
but ive been reading some offputting stuff about them things
im sure if a man kept em really clean they should work like a charm
im thinkin clone for 2-3 weeks-->transplant then run about 3 months and during bout the last month flowering start more clones so when I harvest I can load em up again
hows that??

seems overpriced for a can with some charcoal in it
and there cant be much to those inline fans

I made my own ez cloner the white one has 25 but I have different lids for more or less sites and the blue one has 48 sites 
they are sweet ass

How big is the closet? You're definitely going to want to veg for awhile to keep your plant number down a bit, and a 128 site cloner doesn't take up that much space, I think you should be able to do it.
Clone for 2-3 weeks is a weird thing to say... you clone them until they have roots (4 days to a week, depending on how good you are at cloning) and then you need to put them into the growth media. You could leave them in the cloner I suppose and run nutrients like an aeroponic system, but after 3 week their roots will be way too big for you to transplant them. Quote:

The fan and filter are the most important parts, don't you dare skimp on that shit. Go with an 8" vortex, but maybe even the 10". You seriously can't put a price on good ventilation, you're gonna cry if you spend all this cash and then shit dies because you don't have enough airflow.
You could always have a partition between your two Aeroflos so you can stagger harvests. Pop 120 clones in one and veg them for 2 weeks then start to flower, then two weeks later pop some clones in the other one, veg for 2 weeks and flower. When the first one is ready for harvest the second one will be halfway through, and you can start the cycle all over again.

yeah I figure those fans will seriously be needed
its mainly them damn filters im bitching about
but yeah I know them lights get fucking hot
I tinkered around with a 350 hps once and that bitch got pretty warm
growth was amazing though
so them machines do it that fast huh??
I did it once with those jiffy 7 pellets once and got bout 80%
took about two and a half weeks though
not bad for a greenhorn I think
I learned that them clones wont take unless its kinda cool like about 65-70 I know they don't like it hot
fella slung him together a nice one ehh??
if it works that good it sure beats the hell out of a 440$ machine!
I like the way you think on staggering them runs
the way your're talking a man ought to be snipping bout every 2 months ehh
just not as much at one time
that would keep the paper coming more steady I suppose

If you do it right, you'll be snipping more like every 4-6 weeks, and then you can use that closet for clones and moms only, because you'll veg in the aeroflo 120 for like 2 weeks before you switch the light. That will help keep your workload down as well because you don't have to move the plants from the veg room to the flower room, you just change the timer.

why not just run em all the same for like 3 months at a time
same yield
just harvest less often right??
if theres more to it tell me
im new to the actual business of it
ive grew out side for years aand am kind of used to the schedule
I know come harvest time a man will be leaned over a table for weeks
trust me I know
fuck my back hurts thinking about it

Nope, it's really 6 of one, half dozen of another. I prefer to harvest more frequently so it doesn't seem like a overwhelming trim job, but it really doesn't matter one way or another.

It all depends on you application and growing style.
I personally have 2 magnum xxxl hoods and love them. Good coverage and decent quality. I have the 8 inch ones though.
Ive never used any of the other styles though.

I have a 2nd 1000w hps but no hood (I might add one later) is why Im asking, this 1st hood came with a set of garbage stater kit.
