Guys unless your taking clones a lil earliear than evry1 says my last grow I had 4 dif strains this 1 I got 2 an all iv experienced work just fine I top myn at 7 days old an by day 8 you can c 4 new cola's starting yea not 2 but 4

Lol yea south african text lang enyway wat I was saying is most ppl do there 1st top when the bush a lot biger than myn is I top myn at 7 days old no matter how. Big or small at 7 days I cut the top and I always get 4 new cola's instead of the average 2

From what I understand, if you're getting 4 you're not topping you're fimming. Although I'm a noob and havent tried either...yet.

Ok big joke watevs was just saying enyway ill try get a pic up of my topped northen lights 10 days old with 4 new colas about 1\2 inch long....middle was taken right off with a razor aka topping right?

I recently topped some of my plants and 4 branches started instead of two on one of them. The second set was from the next node down. I'm not sure if that's normal, I'd assume it's not ACTUALLY going to form 4 colas, just at least 4 bud sites, with 2 colas. It makes sense that every node getting sufficient light at the time it's topped would start to branch. I have a feeling the top ones will stunt the bottom ones by covering them.
And before I make a serious post with no touch of emotion, I'll add that I had a good hearty guffaw at the first few posts in this thread as well. I'm not gonna grill you about the spelling and grammar though, I don't feel like it today.

From what I gather, he gets different results than previously mentioned if he FIMs it on day 7 vs topping it. I can't get anything else out of it but I think he's saying topping works better anyway so it's not worth FIMing it.
That's what I got from it, but he could've been telling us all to go fuck ourselves for all my certainty.

Yea that's exactly wat I got I toped it when there were 3 fingers on each fan leaf an got 4 colas 2 from the lower node an 2 from the top an with enough light they seem to be forming just fine a lil slower than the top 2 I'd say maybe a day behinde but they becoming colas...moral of the story if I wait till its got 3 or more nodes I only get the normal 2 if I top on day 7 it kinda gives a boost
