A buddy of mine uses the griddle with oil slick pads and a heat gun and whips it. Yes you will get a budder by whipping it, or just messin with the oil a lot. Its still good though just a diff consistency.
A vac pump and chamber is a better way and you can make shatter like glass or some honeycomb thats soft and crumbly based on the temperatures you use.
A low heat slow and steady purge is going to be better than trying to crank up the heat and rush it.
Theres lots of diff methods including winterizing but at the very least just heat your oil til theres no more bubbles.

Theres lots of videow on youtube claiming that you can purge on the oil slick pads, in fact when they first came out i would tell everyone you can purge on them...but that is misinformation.
It has nothing to do with temperature. Butane will react with silicone and over time the silicone pad will lose its non stick properties and yes you can also get silicone in your product...regardless of brand.
Now a days the oil slick company makes a teflon roll called slick sheet that they sell specifically for lining pyrex dishes and blasting onto. They now say that is the only product meant for direct solvent exposure. Silicone pads are for finished product that does not have solvent in it anymore.

Ive heard mixed reviews about the slick sheets...theres a real good video reviewing them on youtube by knotty.
Most people i talk to that have tried everything all seem to just go back to scraping pyrex.
