Nice man. 3ozs is definitely a good haul from a bagseed plant.
Congrats brother. Cant wait to see the pics!

yea but it started to smell like a hint of skunk with a bunch of super lemony pinsol. the first 4-5 days of drying it smelled almost like grass clippings but now is starting to smell quite good(i really hope it tastes as good as it smells.) Although i had to chop her down earlier than i would have liked i am still pretty happy with the results. running the ak-47/ducksfoot x lowsnow/ jack herer for my next grow.
heres what it looked like right before i started to cure i believe i got the moisture content almost perfect and i really like phychotrons tek for drying and curing.
heres a better shot of a nug to show you some of the trichromes

total weight was 69.3 and i tried some last night after 7 days of curing and i got to say i was pretty impressed with the results. although after the first hit it tasted like a cashed hit it burned very good and ground up nicely. the smell isnt anything impressive until you grind it up than it smells like lemony pinsol goodness with a hint of sour. i really hope the smell develops more as it cures planning on doing atleast a 2 months cure with more than half of it and curing 1/4 of it for 6 months.
after a 7 day cure strain- bagseed
looks-7 nothing special but doesnt look bad
smell-3 it only smells if you open a nug or grind it up but once you do it smells like a 8 out of 10
smoke-8 wasnt harsh at all. burned nicely.
taste-1 first hit doesnt taste bad lets just say that
high-3 instantly high. felt like my eyelids were being closed by mini weights. tired and SUPER lazy that mid day nap type shit. lasted only about a hour and half. i feel very unmotivated to do anything which is why i dont really like it.
after effect- you just want to sleep or lay there.
il only be smoking this when i want to sleep in the middle of the day or knock out at night.

That's kind of weird for it to taste so funky. I've never heard of home-grown tasting straight up bad, assuming it was seeded from bud that tasted good originally.
Do you remember which bag of weed the seeds came from and what that tasted like originally? I'm concerned because I'm doing my first grow with bagseed as well, but mine came from some shitty mexican weed loaded up with seeds and stems. I couldn't even get the true taste of most of those buds because they were broken off the corner of a brick. If your lemony smelling buds don't taste good I fear for my little crappy ones.
I'm betting that the smoothness is owed to using that curing/drying tek. That's what I planned on following when I get there, looks legit. I bet if you keep curing it the taste will improve too, perhaps the high as well.

yup not bad at all for a first timer and considering it came from a bagseed. although its not top shelf it still beats out my buddies stuff by a long shot (and he has grown over 5 cycles).

CFL lights aren't so bad for a first time, especially if ya can't afford the initial layout and don't have room or ventilation for an HID system.
