 I want to grow some poppies!!

I was wandering how i start,, I heard that i can get them at the store and they are good..i have no idea on how to start...

bouncing bear has them for 5$ for a packet of about 500 or so of the little bastards. germination has been good so far

Depending on where you live, you can always check out your local Asian grocery store. There are certain brands of poppy seeds - intended for cooking - that are viable. A quick google search will tell you which brands to look for.

Oh, forgot to mention Danish Flag is shit. The top 5 is as follows:
1] Tasmanian purple.
2] Burma White.
3] Indian White.
4] Afghani.
5] Hens and Chicks.
Tasmanian purple is the best by far. Hens and Chicks can be a pain in the arse if you ask me.

I just ordered 28000 seeds Tasmanian purple off ebay. cant wait to try this strain.
I got 3 years of poppy growin under my belt..... they are super easy to grow

Did Persian white, single lilac, Turkish, and seeds from wild pods found in Point Loma San Diego. Pm if you want a couple pinches to try out.
Side note to PO and Gburger if your talking about those Afghan seeds from that post a couple months back and have any to trade I'd love to pop some of those.

Wish I'd stumble across wild growing poppies, or anything else, for that matter. We get nothing over here. Not even shrooms. You have to drive for hours to find them and the places they can be found are so well known you're normally shit out of luck before you even get there.

They grow everywhere. I have passed by 2 buildings in the castro in sf that have them in planter boxes.
