Bead phenotype in landrace sativa

So I've got some Dr. Grinspoon coming and I'm after that coveted bead pheno. Just curious if anyone has experience growing that kind of plant out? From what I gather there was some talk a few years back about a quasar/quaze strain that matches all the characteristics of the grinspoon? Is that just the foundation of the strain Barneys Farm used to breed dr. gs?

I've grown it out and it was good smoke but that bead pheno was fun as a novelty but with the smoke not being anything to write home about it wasn't worth keeping longer then one harvest.
Good sativa high and a very fruity taste and smell. More toward the citrus end of thing. The harvest looks like you ran the bud threw the grinder. I believe this plant is some type of haze.

Nice thanks mag. How often did the bead pheno show up for you? How long ago did you pop the seeds?
I forget the exact ratio but it was fairly common. Had to be about 3 years now since I popped those seeds.

What is this coveted bead pheno? Is it when the resin starts forming little dew drops??

Thanks for the info. Really looking forward to playing with more pheno isolation.

Ok I get it. Thats awesome. I have a strain called fruity chronic juice. Shes almost gone but I'm trying to reveg a plant I just chopped. This time around the buds came out all mutated like little sticks...the main kola started forming normally but then it restretched and the nodes came out like twigs with pistils every so often, I figured that they were just growing out into the sticks and then they would fill out...but I didn't want to wait another 6 weeks. The way the buds were growing out kind of resembled how the grinspoon has those little points sticking out from the bud...Its just like the bud stretched out extremely and was going to go through a whole flowering cycle again...it was very weird but I think it was stress related.
Oh well... props to those out there with the patience and skill to grow strains like this...
EDIT: ^^^^^^The douche who posted above me sucks fat monkey balls...
