hi I am a sog grower its been a long time since i have grown from seed my mom is at the 6th set of nood win do you guys think its a good time to top it

Well sog means you are growing a lot of plants without topping in x amount of area. Do you mean scrog?
Even if is it scrog, it will depend on the area you are growing in.

You can top plants safely anytime after the third internode. I prefer to LST plants over HST'ing them though. You get the same desired affect without causing any damage to the plant.

I've tried only using lst or hst on many different strains. When I combined both I got waaaaay beter results.

I top once or twice during early veg then tie done a couple times during veg to first week of flower. Seems to be working great for me.

Good for you, man. It's a matter of personal preference really though. I just don't like to chop up plants.

That plant had been reverted back to veg and harvested many times as part of a experiment.
