 amazon banner causing slow loads

It seems that, at least on my PC, every time the amazon banner ad tries to load the page doesn't load until i refresh the page and generate a different banner ad.
Basically the top navigation bar shows up, and then nothing else. Just a blank tan screen stuck on loading the amazon ads.
Anyone else having this issue?

yep, I have this problem every time, and it's only amazon that does it.
