hi all been a while, but gettin back into tha game again.
Hydro Growers: 1. Are you growing from seed or clones? seed 2. How old are your plants? 2 1/2 weeks 3. How tall are your plants? 6-7 inches 4. What type of hydro system are you using? coco coir 5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using? cns17 and calmag+ 6. What is the Ph of your nutrient solution? 5.5-5.7 7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water? 150 last time i grew but i will check later 8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution? dont kno will test later 9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? room temp 10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? N/A 11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check? N/A 12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? no 13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights") 4 cfl 100w equiv right now 14. How close are your lights to the plants? 4+ inches 15. What size is your grow space in square feet? N/A right now, 16. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? temp is 80 humid is N/A but can find out later 17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? no 18. How much experience do you have growing? enough to ask for hemp when needed lol
feeding is as follows, feed 10ml cns17 + 5ml calmag+ as per dir on bottles, feed last night then those spots came about, idk if i splashed any on the leaves or not but i think not tho, i try to be careful. i water till 33% runoff each watering, so it goes feed, water, water, feed, water, water, watering have 5ml calmag+, so tacoing of leafs were start of problem wich is a MG problem is it not? so i upped the calmag+ 5ml with regular waterings earlier this week, last night there was no spots, today thise spots came so thats why im here. the 2 in back were same seeds from the same bag and the one off to the side is from a diffrent bag, the one off to the side is doing fine as ou can see, no tacoing, or spots, thoughts on what it could be, like i stated ill get the ppm of the tap and w/ nutrients in both nute water and calmag+ water,
also any other info yall need i can supply later like i said,
again sup all hows it been.

hey i woudl drop teh calmag dude.. cause i used the cns 17 line and it has that stuff in there already.. so u might be giving it to much calmag.
when i did my first grow i never used calmag with the cns17 line and had no probs at all. one of the reason i went with the cns17 line was that it already had the calmag in it so i did have to buy a nother bottle of nuts to mix in ontop of everythign i already had.

Think the growing medium is staying too wet also. Those leaves curling up is the plant trying to dissapate as much moisture as it possibly can, or hest stress, but don't think heat stress is the problem though. The spots on the leaves are the beginning of nute lockout.

ill try without the calmag, but i relize my problem i think, i was ph'ing to 5.5, i reread ed's and now see it is supposed to be 5.8-5.9 >.< i dont think i could be over feeding with a ppm of 300?? thats after i minus the base water reading of 288 ppm, and with the calmag i am in at 498 ppm, 1 1/2 ml ph down to ph 5.8-.9 ppm is 604.
nothing has gotten worse, their still growing strong and the one is showing sex already and towering over the others.
as for the watering, i water every other day, i do the lifting the pot method, i go feed water water feed, pots are starting to get wicked light by the next day so i think i am not watterlogging them, besides i thought you could not water log a plant in coco??
dont kno tho, i think it was ph, been sick so i think my brain was kinda out their,

5.5. Is nothing crazy. If your starting ppm is that high, then there are a lot of minerals already in there. That could be part of the problem as well. This being compounded with a pretty weak light source. They dont grow super vigorously with cfl, so wont need as much in the way of nutes. But I'd be VERY surprised a pH of 5.5 was causing this. The plants are small. They don't need much.
What are you using for pH up and down? I've never noticed a rise in ppm when adding mine.

That's correct. 5.5 - 6.5 is acceptable PH (potential hydrogen) range for the water when using it to grow marijuana. 80 degrees in your grow area is a little warm and is probably compounding your problem by slowing the rate at which the plant can uptake nutrients a little bit. Heat slowing the nutrient uptake though is really problematic at 85 degrees and above. I'd give them a few "flushes" and tear off the leaves that aren't going to repair themselves before beginning to feed them again. Reduce the nutrient dose to 2.5ml.

hey ham, i hear ya, temps are fluctuating, their under 80 sorry, thermostat is set at 74-76, but for the cns17, i kno it has the calmag in it, got it cos it works great for coco coir(as per other peoples exp), but thats the thing, im using coco coir. coir asorbs calcium great, but wont release it easley, thats why i was supplementing the calmag+, as per how other people growing have done cos of the exchange rate, piss poor when it comes to ca, but like hawk said, lights affect this, so i guess im in a catch 22 of sorts,
coir loves to obtain the ca, but wont release it easly,(wants a angry handy i guess...) plants hitting their growth stride want will accept tons of Mag,(so i read) but my lighting right now wont let my plants hit that much of a stirde,
guess i need to get of my sick ass and get that 400 up huh.
also guys, with a base ppm of 288, how many ppm of cns17 should be given?

Depends on the read out of that 228. I would ask your water provider for a analysis of it.

ill do that tomorrow, their 5 min walk down the street.
nothing getting worse, the leaves are not as curled,
dont have the cash to buy water right now, kids birthday and christmas is comming up so funds are shifted this time of year.,
dont kno tho, ill get a pic later, if i can stand, think im getting sick with bronchitis, getting hard to breathe,
also hawk, rember that plant earlier in the year i was having problems with, (never flowerd or showed sex)well that was the first plant i tried to grow in this area i live in now (had to kill it, clones had the same problem as well so idk if it was just the plant or what), i kno the last place i lived the base ppm of my tap water was 80-120ppm (rounding it) never had problems like this till i moved here, then again i did DWC bubble buckets in the last place i lived, jus dont have the space here for all that ya kno. hopefully the water report is not bad enough to warrent me to buy water cos ugh aint got it..
