I know PositiveOutlook did some peach wine batches, I personally can't help you but I'm sure that he'll be able to help you once he logs in and see this thread

Hmm I don't think he has, well he never mentionned whiskey making in the chat, and it seems like the kind of thing he'd brag about lol

i only did a corn mash moonshine batch in a pressure cooker still with copper line..... it was more a experiment then anything.  protip: toss first few oz's of shine that comes out the end... apparently its poison.

making wine is fun and u dont need a still

My buddy has this plastic distiller he actually bout from a store called moonshiners.  Basically it slowly distills the alcohol over night, into a middle part.  Its not as potent as a moonshine still.... but he makes good booze in it

he even puts wine and shit through it too to make it strong.  And adds jolly ranchers to his batches to flavor them :crazy2:

:whathesaid:

It really is poison man its like 190 proof, It will burn blue on a spoon!!

However my old boss loved that shit. I had to tell him ,if he drank all that i gave him it would kill him.I gave him a fifth. He ended up mixing it with some apple pie shine i gave him too.

I am making my own pot still from a stai less steel stockpot with a copper coil condenser... I have never done much looking into wine making g but it sounds fun... oh any the first bit you have mentioned about throwin g away is true, reffered to as fore shots , this contains largely methanol , highly toxic... this is where the you can go blind myth came from. Safety and proper procedure will result in a safe drinkable high % ethanol. Cheers

I've done a bit of distilling. If you have some specific questions, I'll do my best to take a crack at them.

I can say for sure that I have a good corn mash recipe.

Heat 4 gallons of water and 5 lb of cracked corn to 150F for 1 hour. Cut the heat and add in 5 lb sugar. Cool to room temp and pitch your yeast. Ferment until done.

Check homedistiller.org. That's where I learned most of what I know.

I don't know but I been told it's hard to run with the weight of gold
The other hand, I heard it said it's just as hard with the weight of lead
