Day 57 from seed. I need to do a res change asap, but I have to wait until there isn't the threat of friends and roommates walking in unexpectedly.
I said "fuck it" and put the 600watt light back in. So all together now, I'm running 1600 watts on 20/4. I just felt like the plants arent going as fast as I am used to.
The right plant isn't going to give me much at all. I'd say 85% of what you can see is the left plant.
It got cold out, so that mean we should be running the a lot A/C less. Hopefully it will help compensate for the electric bill. Hope this pays off!
I love watching the progression on grows!

Thanks buddy! I love sharing and having people watch.
Advice and questions are always welcome!
They are looking much happier today even though they managed to get 3 extra hours of darkness (my main plug was a bit loose?).

I've done it a few times. Biggest was 16 plants on a recirculating DWC using 5 gallon buckets. I love it and will most likely never go back to soil grows.

It changes! I premix 5 gallons (a big ozarka jug) at a time. I PH the water first then follow that table at the start of my post for adding nutes. The clear tube allows me to see the water level in the tote. After a while, you get a water ring on that tube that tells you where the level should be. When you notice it getting low or just see that you could add more, just add more of your premix to your tote. The water level will always be changing, just keep an eye on it.

Some do and some don't. The one who know are cool. The ones who would freak out do not know.
Just did a res change. Fresh everything. I think a lot of my airstoens have become clogged. There isn't as many bubbles as I remember, lol.
I'm really hoping for good things these next few weeks. Gonna go see if I can fix the air issue.

Ok thanks. But when I fill it up were do i fill it up to? I mean do I fill it up so its touching the net pots ?
I know the water will fluctuate up and down. I just dont know were the water is supposed to be .

I'd say like 1/4" into the net pot should be fine.

With the air stone on. But, to be completely honest, you are asking about something I'm not 100% sure about. And, unless you are planning on adding water all of the time, or having a recirculating system, the water level in my grows never seemed to be an important factor, except to say, don't let it get to low. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to research a bit or become a scientist and perform an experiment to find optimum water level in a DWC?
One thing I do know is that the more water you have, the easier it is to regulate the pH, ppm, E.C., etc. That is why I choose a rather large tote to use in my DWC vs something like a 5 gallon bucket. It simply makes it harder to "screw up" the whole water thing. It also allows for much larger root systems to form.
Day 61 from seed: Ill post pictures in a bit and I'm really excited. I left the door open for a few hours the other day with a nice fan blowing in fresh air, moved to the final phase of nutes, and added some big bud along with the hammerhead. I can tell the difference already!

Oh, and as far as that odor goes, a nice fan an carbon filter always do the trick. I vent into my attic as well to avoid any traces of the smell being pumped out directly from the house.

Hey man, like the setup, think i might do something similar when i get started myself. i have some questions for you -
How big is that tub? what kind of nutes are you using in what ratios? what kinds of pumps are you using?
again, this looks awesome.

Thanks!
The tub is a 40 gallon tub I believe.
The nutes are a mix. The standard 3 part, Grow, Micro, and Bloom. I also got the vita blue from blue plant nutes, there is liquid seaweed, big bud, and hammerhead. Pretty much check out the blue plant nutes site, and get their $160 setup. It'll work very very well!
Only pump I have is a commercial air pump. Comes with that splitter to run up to 8 air hoses.

Day 64 from seed:
Put in another round of water and nutes, these girls are going through 5 gallons every two days.
Got a huge scare. I went to lift the lid of the tote to check on the air bubbles (now it looks as if a hose came loose, and only huge bubbles are coming out in one spot, but I guess it's better than nothing) and the net put fell through the tote lid! I guess they are getting pretty heavy now. I think the only thing that saved me was the help from the scrog net supporting it from falling over while I frantically got the net pot back where it needed to be.
Heres some pics:
