Questions re: flicking young plant to flowering

Hi ladies and gents, an Aussie here. We are heading towards summer at the mo.
I want to try a grow and I need to be harvesting by early December for this one.
To harvest by early December I reckon I need to flick to flowering mode within the next fortnight. The plant is a strain called Early Girl and is getting about 13 hours sunlight a day. She only germed about 10 days to two weeks ago, so she is young.
I am concerned that flicking to 12/12 after this 13/11 natural light will not be enough to shock her into flowering. Do you think if I give the plant sunlight during the day then add a few more hours of CFL after that each day (say 16 hours of light a day) for the next 10 days, then I flick it to 12/12 after that, it will flower ok?
Any advice readily accepted. I am a noob and I believe from my research this should be sound but would love to have it confirmed.
Thanks peeps

the plant should flower under 13hrs of light. that being said....I can't see how veg'n for 10 days and then switching back to flower could be beneficial.
I'd just go with 12/12 from here on out.

Well from my understanding, outdoor works a bit differently.
Here's what I would do. I would give it a nice long dark period, like 24 hours. And then put it in 12/12. Now I'm not real experienced in outdoor growing. So you may want to hold off until someone more experienced it in can pipe in.

OP are you planning to pull the plant inside or covering it to force flower?

I'm planning to cover it with a big box or something over night for a 12-hour stretch.
Sorry for the noobness, but I really appreciate everyone's help here.
And just to clarify, I am keeping the plant inside but letting it get a lot of natural light. I know I won't get a crazy yield but this is more for fun and learning's sake for me.
