It's what the phedor uses in their $150 product but the actual part is $13 from hakko usa.

Use an old computer cord and plug in the metal leads to the outside holes not the middle neutral. It takes 30 seconds to get red hot, just hover it over your bowl and you will have a great tasting hit!

It is a ceramic rod w/ a wire inside. Once power is turned on the wire heats the ceramic kinda like how toasters work.

Like it is an understatement... I absolutely love it. I never use lighters when I'm at home anymore because it makes it taste that much better. I made one w/ an on off switch and it only takes 20-30 seconds to warm up.
You can vaporize your bowl if you have a steady hand and hold if far enough away or you can just ignite the whole bowl. People are usually pretty surprised when they use it and realize how much butane lighters affect the taste.

No power supply it runs off 120v just plug right into the wall. I want to make it battery powered but that's above my electrical skill.
