Looks like you did just fine. 
I couldn't dream of a yield like that with what we all have, if you were to do exactly the same thing but with the bud around here, you would have been lucky to get a gram.
This wouldn't work all that well if you were dabbing it, but I like kneading kief in with the oil to make it easier to handle, burns way better, and I don't smoke it all up as quickly. Was this your first oppurtunity to smoke oil?
