Cheaper way to create the same amount of bho? Theory

New to the boards, I dunno how everyone here feels about bho, but i love it so far. I've mastered my technique, now i just want to cut costs. I'm blowing through cases of tane, which can get costly. For dealing with large quantities of sugar trim, I had an idea that could save me alot. Instead of pumping a full can of butane into every ounce of sugar trim i have, i thought maybe if i did cold acetone hash extract on the large plant matter , filtered, evapped the acetone ( around 10-15$ for a gallon at lowes) got a large yielding impure oil, and added some nice buds and some sugar trim into the extractor, mixed with the impure oil, did a couple of blasts, would i get a monster yield? since I am starting with alot of thc and no real junk. So i would recieve a monster yield ? only needing to buy a few cans of butane, instead of a couple cases, and only a gallon of pure acetone at lowes, would cut costs for me in half. Can i get some expert opinion, on this approach

As long as you had a way to make sure the butane efficiently extracted the oil, then you should be golden, because I'd be afraid the ball of oil would stay just that, and not dissolve. Maybe smear a good thin layer of the oil on the buds and trim you're planning to use, or just break the oil up into a lot of small pieces before blasting.
IMO yes it would definitely work, I've never tried it with bud but I did get some nice DMT using this idea. (Pre extracted bark with iso, then did the A/B on that tar and the yield was a touch higher than average.)

thanks for the feedback. As long as the thc from the oil gets extracted, im good. im going to test this tonight and let everyone know. Because bho doesnt pull all goodies, and acetone pulls all goodies plus some plant matter, so if i smeared it evenly i would predict it to further clean the cheaper extract into very nice yielding bho without the cases of butane. I'll report back

You use one can of butane per oz of material?

ya roughly. i use just over a oz.... and usually do 2 cans... just to make sure i get most of the bho out of my glass tube,
acetone oil is not as potent, takes a long time to evap, and is known for having chemical contams. many people perfer iso (10-20L jugs are like $100)
as for someone who does lots of bho extractions.... if u got the money buy a tasmanian extractor. they make sets from 2oz's to a kilo of trim at a time. they are designed to reuse the butane over and over (no more buying cases of cans)..... and apparently the product is A+++ and the ratio is GREAT
