 Smoking & Dental Implants

Has anyone had a dental implant?
I know nicotine is really bad for all dental work, but what about THC, etc?
Shouldn't have to worry about a dry socket, because the extraction was done about a year ago & they're just drilling into the bone to put the titanium implant. There'll be a few sutures over the top of the gum.
Now, I'm wondering about the smoke itself. Maybe a vaporizor is a good idea?

I have read that people had no ill effects from smoking after dental work. But to play it safe I would vape. But I wouldn't suck as hard due to suction.

the wife has been a dental assistant for 6-7 years, she said don't fuck around. implants are a big deal. vape only if you have to.

good to know - i was looking for someone who either has had one or was in the dental profession.
this is for my husband - i had an implant last year with absolutely no problems. after the first day, it didn't bother me one bit.
but i'm not a heavy smoker & can put it down without an issue
he uses it to manage his chronic pain so he can minimize his pill use - it's a little harder for him, but i'll pass it on.
edibles would probably be the way to go if we lived somewhere else

I really wouldnt smoke or anything if possible.
Dry socket is the freakin worst, really any dental pain is the absolute worst IMO
