I suppose that's what made the test interesting to me though... the testers bias about organic soil buds led them to the wrong answer almost every single time. They saw his delicious hydro buds and thought "well those are the best looking/tasting/potent buds here, so they must be soil." I agree that a complete legitimate test would be nice, but I find it fascinating how the bias of people's preconceptions betrays them, despite the answer being different than they thought they were voting for
I too find the test fascinating for the same reasons. I will not go to the grave for soil but right now I feel it provides a superior quality. I also don't believe the average cannabis user is capable of judging cannabis accurately. I'm currently growing the majority of my plants in coco with General Hydroponics nutrients (amongst others).
There have been plenty of lab test already and it pretty much always turns out for the hydro.
As far as the average cannabis user they are probably better at differing then we the growers are. They use far more strains then we do. We generally use what we are growing at the time no matter how many strains that is. The average cannabis user (here anyway) goes threw several strains a week.
The soil grown buds were grown by me. I have grow soil for over 20 years far longer then hydro. There was no difference between the buds in appearance. No human on earth can taste a joint and go "this is hydro" and hit another and say "this is organic" if the buds are grown properly.
