well i just botched 9/10 of my atomic nl from damping out ,iv grown cannabis off and on for the last 15 years and i have never experienced this before ! mean while this time round i choosed to grow in coco for the first time ,read all this stuff about the drainage qaulity it has and the great structure and all this and bam ,i got pissed on! so went out and picked up a pack of white widow x herijuana and am going to go back to what has worked in the past ,50/50 promix and baged manure with added perlite and a dusting of d.lime, what i would like is to hear what ph others would water with using a mix like this ,the only thing im doing with this mix thats different from when i used it before is the d.lime ,so im curious to hear how other would gauge there ph levels?
thanks

Myself with the mix your talking I think I'd water with a range of 5.5 to 6.2 in that area.

well thats right about where my ph was before when i used it without the lime ,ill tell ya what im doing as we speak is i took a little medium and put it in a cup with some water ph,ed to 6.5, 6.6 and the ph probe has been sitting it the cup for about an hour at 6.4 6.5!
should i not be shooting for about this range with a soil mix ?
and what is your theory about having the ph at 5.5 to 6.2

i guess maybe before without the lime i was watering at 5.5 and it was the alcline of the soil bringing my medium to the 6.3 , 6.8 range, but i find with the lime its buffering to about 6.5

None of those ranges should cause any probs.
if I'm in the 5.8 to 7 range I pretty much don't fuck with it.
