neglected plants
    #670120 - 05/11/13 12:52 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

I'm not really sure how long these are into flowering and I haven't tested the soil ph but they have recently(3 days ago) gotten the same phed water as my indoor and are also in the same soil as my indoor(the indoor are dark green still). I have no idea how far into flowering they are but they have been quickly cannibalizing their leaves, this one in particular. Would adding a little nitrogen possibly help that if it isn't a lock out problem and more of a deficiency issue? I waited a long time to get these ladies ph adjusted out here so I don't know if time will slow down the cannibalizing or if this is natural at this stage of the plants life?  These girls have been my experimental plants so I'm not to concerned if they don't produce, they've been tortured and they show it hehe

Can you look at the trichs and see what they look like?

I guess its about that time to order a scope

what I can tell through a pair of world war II binoculars is that they appear to be milky/cloudy white.

40x should be fine ya?

do you think were getting a good view of the trichs in the macro? I basically flushed last water, three days ago. Well there was a slight bit of organic foliar feed that I put in, half the recommended amount. My last water was just microbes, ph, 2 tbsp of molasses, and then a half strength organic 2-4-2. The substrate is still really wet do you think I should let it go through a little dry period before flushing?

also do you say that mainly due to the trichs or due to the shitty leaves? I'm going :willynilly: with my grows so I haven't really touched any literature on these steps of the grow  I tend to enjoy learning by fucking up and then finding the info I need lol

I'm shopping for budget magnifiers

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052G7EX8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AXL6QQRFS15B4

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00533VJSG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A17XAYN3CKLWDYhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00533VJSG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A17XAYN3CKLWDY

What do you think? I saw one article saying to go for a 25x so I assume the more the better? either of these should be fine right?

edit: alright I'll stop being lazy and read :tongue2:

So are the indoor ones the same strain?  Are they still in veg?  They're a lot of variables, but they don't look ready to flush to me.

Thanks guys for the scope recs. I may grab the same one budgrower has, the reviews are iffy though hopefully I don't get one with white plastic chunks built into the lens. I think I'll rummage through my childhood toys first I know I have some magnifying glasses somewhere.

To hawk, the ones indoors are also in flower and the same strain but they are under T5ho's and don't nearly have the bud formation that these outdoors have but they are close behind. I sowed about 14 bag seeds and all turned up female, I had kept two inside as an experiment to see if I could avoid phing by adding a small amount of dolomite lime to my water and allowed to soak for a while but that just ended up causing a bad lockout; Those two were discarded. The rest were left outside in the very beginning of March, in see through milk jugs and basically forgotten about until I noticed they were flowering. Then I transferred them into laundry baskets not really thinking they would be kept.

I then took one laundry basket with four ladies that looked to be in the best shape and brought them inside, ph adjusted them and fed them for the first time. They quickly darkened up and are still dark.

Do roots continue to grow during late flowering, once the plant stops growing? I have one outside in a pretty small container and it has the largest bud formations... would it be worth it to repot it at this stage? I'll grab a pic one sec.

edit: I guess the container isn't to small for that size plant anyhow. Thinking back and magash's cup grow

Well the plant that's outside will be using up nutrients faster than the one indoors.  So it probably just needs a feeding.

And yes, root growth slows tremendously in flowering.

They definitely seemed to enjoy it, the leaves have gotten a slight bit of color back to them... may be to little to late. I gave them something like full strength 5-2-5, half 1-8-7, quarter 2-4-2, 2 tbsp. molasses... I didn't take time to bubble it because it seemed urgent. I only gave them a quart each. I think I'm going to bubble up another batch and feed them again in a few days. Should I lower the nitrogen and up the P? I was thinking they might need the nitrogen due to the leaves being so light. Next feed I'm thinking half strength 5-2-5, full 1-8-7, 1 tbsp. high p guano 0-13-0 molasses and a couple days bubbles.
