I was wrong. I wanna say that it would be below what your run off is reading then. I;m a little too fucked up for to figure this out right now.

5.8 is the average of 6.5 and soil ph. Soo 5.1
Just pH your waterings to 7.0 untill the runoff is 6.8ish

holy shit man! get some lime dolomite and sprinkle it onto the top of the soil... then water over that... and it will keep your soil at a neutral ph of around 7... fis it or it will start to show... dolomite is really cheap.. so yeah.. get it.. it's always nice to have around when there are extreme ph issues such as yours..

This was the reason people have been having issues to begin with. Dolomite Lime has a pH anywhere from 8.5 to 10. If you don't know what you're doing with it you can cause a lot of damage.
With the right application is can help. But I don't recommend it for beginners.

I really wish I could find the link, but when I ran out of ph up and had to feed I stumbled across this method, and it worked fine for upping as far as I could tell.
Basically: Make a double boiler, with a handful of dolomite lime in the top pot, keep on low for 5 min(stir as much as possible), pour into container through a coffe filter. This water will be 10+ph but you only have about an hour to use it before the lime separates out.
I had to add about 3x the amount of it to my nute mix compared to actual ph up, but still better then vinegar lol

It's going to take time to change the pH of your soil. Don't worry about that portion, just make sure that the pH going in is ok.

I'd stick with 7, optimal for soil can be between 6.5-7

ok thanks hawk, figured I would just double check first cause I know by the charts that 6.5 ph is were the plant can have access to all nutes, but going up on the ph a bit, some nutes can be absorbed. so was not sure what i should be getting my water ph at sense my ph of my run off was so low.

In all honesty, I am all over the place with my pH. Sometimes it's 6, sometimes it's 8. That's the great thing about soil. It's forgiving.
