First outdoor harvest!
    #664959 - 04/04/13 04:27 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

So maybe a month and a half ago I dumped my contaminated mono tub grow under some dirt on the side of my house. I didn't have high hopes as it was kinda cold at the time and to add insult to injury my dog dug up the spawn/coir i had buried. At the time I didn't think anything was going to grow, this was about 2 weeks ago. Well I go outside today to dump another tub and to my astonishment I see a cluster of mushrooms.

Potentially dangerous advice, there. :nono:

Going by Alan Rockefeller's advice:
If the spores are purple-black, and the tissue bruises blue, THEN you have a guaranteed active mushroom.

There are blue-bruising mushrooms that are poisonous.

Good looking patch though, especially since it was just mostly-spent substrate! I haven't been able to pull that off yet, soil around here is rocky and hard as hell and no mycelium will even consider colonizing it.
