Shipping Container Home

Personally I find the idea of a home being built from some shipping container pretty neat and appealing. If I had the money in my bank account I would defiantly make one.

IMO seems nice and cozy for 35 grand .

RR has his grow room set up inside a modified container.

RogerRabbit said: Here's a shot of the 4' X 8' sheets of Dow board as I was laying it on the roof of my shipping container. There's two layers, each of R10, giving a total of R20 followed by whatever insulation the soil gives. We'll see how it performs later this winter when it's down to -30F for weeks at a time. I just checked a few minutes ago and it's 54F in the growing section and 74F in the colonization room, while +10F outside.
I also used the Dow board on the front entrance wall, outside of a 2 X 6 wall with R19 bats installed, and behind my 24" thick rock and concrete wall, now finished to 9 feet tall. I'll probably add another foot to the top next spring after the thaw. That's the retaining wall so I can have the excavator come back out and finish piling soil up around the entrance. RR
I am sure one made for bud would flourish.

That container really makes me miss living in a studio apartment.
