Hey guys, first post here, and first grow, so thanks for any help!
I started my baby seedlings under a 400W MH once most of them had poked out of the ground. Temperature at 75 F, humidity at 60%.
They started stretching to an inch-2 inches, so I moved the light closer and shored up the soil. I also added a fan last night, and it seemed to make the stems thicker - but the seedlings stretched to pretty much the same height as before.
Should I move the MH closer if the heat is tolerable? I was just afraid of moving it closer than a foot to 18 inches since they are babies.

Exactly. They first set a root system in place, and then start to focus on vegetation. So do you have true leaves? Or the first set called cotyledons, that show up when they sprout?
