Hello I sucessufully started my grow with 8 seeds about a week ago and now I have 3 sprouts and they look just beautiful Now I had read that they should countine to grow like this with proper care for the next 3-6 weeks before transplanting. I was thinking about doing 2 transplants because I would like to grow some well established plants before flowering. So I was thinking after the significant amount of time to transplant into a pot that is about 2 gallons then continue to grow. Then transfer to a much larger pot like 8-9 gallon pot then grow and then shift to flowering stage after the plant is mature enough. Is 2 transfers a good idea? Or should I just go from the seedling to a large pot? Any input is much appricated!

Well there are a lot of variables here man. Are you growing indoors or outdoors? And if indoors, how much room do you have?

I start seeds in six packs using light warrior seed starter mix. Sometimes many seeds per cell. After two weeks I pot up to either ocean forest or my own compost. Usually this will be a quart container. Then a few weeks later into a one gallon container where the plant finishes. I'm looking for signs of the first roots showing under the container from the drain holes. It's time to transplant. I don't like to be in a container that is too large because the soil takes too long to dry out. The soil needs to dry out between watering to pull fresh air into the soil so that the roots can breathe. Not stay dry. Just get dry. I like to water at that just got dry point.

Stepping up when transplanting is always a good idea. So 2 transplants would be just fine man.

Remember folks these rules do not apply to autoflower strains. When the plant has such a limited life span you can't afford for the plant to take a week or more to bounce back from being transplanted. (if done right there is no bounce back time but we all know shit can happen ) So to get the best results from autos they should be planted in their permanent container right from the get go.

Nah, your answers were on the money, I just put it for people that might be growing them and think the rules transfer over.

Ya not an auto flower. But more light? Idk if I can haha the girls get 20 hours of light ever day with air circulation. I'm using a full spectrum 6500k light to simulate day light. Should the light be more than 20hrs? Thanks for the great info guys. This is my first grow and could use all the tips I can get.

I think he ment brighter light not longer. That's what they look like they need anyway.
Here is some that got bright enough light.

6500k is the color spectrum
The amount of watts is what you're looking for.
And not "equivalent to " watts.

You still haven't really given much info on what all is going on. I'm guessing that you're using CFL's.
How much are you wanting to get out of this? Are you just wanting a few grams? Is this just a trial run for expanding later?
