update: it is flower day 49 marking the start of my 8th week. i fed both plants 1 last time? i hear the last 2 weeks are really crucial, do i just water it regularly with tap water? or do i literally have to flush the soil with a lot of water run off...?
how often should i be flushing?
during dry soil?
water as needed?

Used my new magnifier to see the trichs. The top 2 colas have a leaf or two completely covered with amber trichs.
However the majority of the plant is completely clear trichs. What does it mean if a petal on a leaf is completely amber trichs?

the tops mature faster than the rest of the plant usually... I would give it some time...

Decided to harvest today after I come home from work.
Some issues
When I get home is when the plant usually goes to sleep. Should I just leave it on if I plan on harvesting in the next 6hrs (6 hrs cuz I will wait for my parents to go to sleep until I harvest)
Or can I let her go to sleep n then just wake her up after 5-6 hrs of darkness to harvest??

just harvest. yes, it might make some difference for it to be in the dark all night. but for that to matter you would have to grab your plant before the lights came on and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference IMO.
i said fuck it to the no light before harvest and just cut my bitches down when they're ready.

so i come home to check the trichs one more time, a bit confused on one thing:
the amber trichs i spot are only on the trim leaves, but not on the bud itself.
does this matter? should i be waiting for amber trichs on the bud itself or amber trichs showing ONLY on trim leaves is fine to harvest?

I believe you judge it as a whole. Ill take a gander at my buds but I usually clip off the sugar leaves that right up on the bud to check my trichomes. Check more then one cola also to get an idea of what all ur trichs are at the moment.

all the fine trim leaves have amber trichs along every bud site, just no buds have amber trichs, yup, sounds like shes ready to be chopped.
its unfortunate that my 12day vegged bagseed isnt showing any amber trichs anywhere yet.
not going to wait for it since its a miniscule amount of bud compared to the sour D. so ill chop her as well even though shell be premmy.

You don't have to wait for amber trichs, it's personal preference. You don't want to be harvesting when you still got a million clear/cloudy though.

how could i have been so blind?
obviously we should be checking the trichs on what we will actually be smoking. the leaves turning amber first just means that the leaves are ripened, im going to wait until i see more cloudy trichs on the buds themselves.

Harvested my 2 plants today. First time trimming, got better on the second branch of the sour d.
 
Surprised I got this much from this bag seed that had only vegged from seed for 12 days.

Can't believe I didn't update this post. Ending result. I got 26 gram off my sour d clone n 4 grams off my bag seed.
These 2 were only vegged for 12 days. In a confined space. 200w total. 125w of which was 6500K (blue) and I was still able to get an ounce off my clone. I'm Veryyyy happy. I hear about ppl getting a lil over an oz with HPS lights n all that jazz. Genetics win here. Some ppl said I'd only get 7g. I thought is get half an ounce n would've been happy. Love my results for this half assed grow.
Hung dry for 4 days ( should have gone longer) n cured for 2 weeks. After each day of curing the buds tasted better, tastier, skunkier. It was prob top/mid shelf id say. My gf thought it was straight fire but I know it wasn't. Own worst critic? Maybe.
