 old darvocet - shelf life?

Just found a bottle of darvocet from 2001. Has about 30 left in it. Anyone know shelf life for these? Bottle says they expired in 2002, but I think most of the dates on bottles from the pharmacy are bullshit.
These are the pink tabs with "5114 V" marked on them.
Something makes me think they have a vicodin-like buzz.  Would be nice to know if stable and not going to give me a stroke.

I get what you are implying, but the expiration date on this bottle is exactly one year from the date it was filled. I have gotten a lot of scripts over the years where the expiration date was linked to the date of purchase, not when it would become unsafe to consume.

Thanks for the reminder. Erowid used to be my first stop. I like what they have done with it recently.
I got bored and popped 1/2 of one last night. Felt ok and kind of warm after an hour. I took the rest and ended up staring at my netflix queue for 45 minutes before falling asleep. I was expecting something more like vicodin, but this was very stupefying and hypnotic.
Not sure if its related, but I had really fun dreams last night and woke up very refreshed after about 7 hours sleep.

one time i drank a bunch of old pepto busmal, that was a year old after expiring ....
needless to say i was pissing outta my ass for 2 full days.
