I went to a Syd rememberance show at a downtown place last night.
It's good to see his spirit still living through many people!

He had a mental breakdown and LSD added to that. According to Gilmour he would have had a breakdown with or without LSD.
"In my opinion, his nervous breakdown would have happened anyway. It was a deep-rooted thing. But I'll say the psychedelic experience might well have acted as a catalyst. Still, I just don't think he could deal with the vision of success and all the things that went with it."
Also he left the band to get mental help if I am correct he didn't get fired from it.
