Been thinking a lot about Kratom recently. Any info out there about it's effect on liver/kidney function? I guessing it shouldn't be too bad if I'm not a pig about my use. I doubt it's any worse than other things I've done.

Thanks for the reply. I'm about to start treatment for my HCV, (pending approval from my ins. co.), and that will involve frequent blood work to to track the effectiveness of this 3 drug combo (Sofosbuvir, ribavirin and interferon). There's a lot of potential side effects.(12 week treatment)
I've been getting a once a month injection of Naltrexone for the past 10 months ( to help with the cravings), and this med is an opioid receptor antagonist. I've decided to stop taking taking this, as well as my daily Remeron and Protonix(for nausea). One of these, or some combo, in conjunction with the HCV, just makes me feel kind of dull in side, almost like a mild hangover. Plus there's the daily headaches, joint pain, nausea, vertigo, tinnitus...
Anyway kraton just might be the relief I'm looking for. Daily aspirin messes with my gut and frankly, just doesn't quite do it for me. My liver Dr. says not to take acetaminophen or ibuprofen daily, the kidney specialist said the same thing about naproxen, and none of my doctors will prescribe narcotics or MMJ. At least I have an amigo nearby in the hood with the green crack, (that's what this kid calls it, lol. Decent 1/8's for 40-50)
On a side note, I asked him if he could get RC's(he had no clue what a RC was). I asked about acid and he said yea, $20/hit. Asked him what it tasted like and he said it was bitter, but he tripped balls for 12 hours... I'll just stick with his weed, and check out this krat.

Well, got my package today. Vendor threw in an extra 1/2 oz. of red vein. Took an eighth around 3:15, another 1/8 about an hour later. Empty stomach and no other drugs or alcohol.
So far I'm rather impressed...Zero nausea, interesting relaxing buzz, and my arthritis and foot/knee pain are practically non existent. Also, the taste wasn't really that bad.
All in all, 7g. dose for less than 2 dollars and easy on my stomach ? ...
I'll be sampling another strain tomorrow... . . .

Tried their strain called horned leaf today, 7g. Again, easy on the stomach and a medium relaxing, heavy eye lid kinda buzz. Seemed to last several hours. Also noticed some constipation.
I've been getting an injection of Naltrexone every 30 days for the past 10 months, (last shot 10 days ago) and it's an opioid receptor antagonist.
I wonder if that affects my experience with kratom.
We'll see in the next few weeks. I already told my doc no more shots or Remeron. Clean my system out a bit.

Some of my current stash (got some green malay somewhere here too)
Cant wait to grab more... starting to run low
I mix the powder in a cup of warm water, stir it up, chug and chase with about 12 oz of water, always on a empty stomach. I've been drinking 9 or 10g every morning. I'm not noticing too much difference between the 4 strains. The taste is a little meh . It doesn't bother my stomach, though I sometimes get a little headache. My next order I want to get just 1 strain, whatever seems best for the pain relief. I wish there was more info on how this affects liver function. I'm getting a liver biopsy next month before I start my Hep C treatment. Once that starts, I'll be getting monthly blood work to track progress. I may stop taking krat in the beginning because I don't want it to interfere with the interferon/ribavirin/Sovaldi combo. My doctors are completely against MMJ (pretty much a long shot here in NJ anyway ), so I'm not going to say anything about the krat. I doubt they've heard of it anyway. ... . . .

Well my 4+ oz of kratom lasted me 12 days averaging 9g dose per day, some days, 2 doses... I didn't take any today( it's all gone), but no noticeable wd's... On a weird side note, I started my Celebrex 200mg script today ( took almost a week for my Insurance to approve it), and I got a strange ammonia like taste in my sinus when I exhale. Also had noticeable blurred vision that lasted a few hours. Both started about 2 hrs after taking it. TBH, I think the pain relief from kratom was better, though Celebrex does have a cumulative effect so it should work better in a few more days. My doc said strait up no chance of me getting narcotics for my pain. I need to shake up some more work this weekend so I can re-up my stash. That, plus I need to pay some bills... . . .

KrAtomBomb... I googled it and no hits. You better it now.
You're welcome.
US customs won't have a problem when you send ounces of leaves to me? How much is shipping for like a pound or so?
BTW, I found a funky old kids book that you might dig(if you're an auto mechanic), the Little Auto, copyright 1934. The one I have came from the local library as a discard. Cool graphics in it, but no dust cover.

My batch arrived. 4 different strains, 2 oz each to try and differentiate between the 4. I'll be doing 3 - 9g and 2 - 14g samples per strain. I also have 2 other favors included in my order, but I really want to compare the 4 main ones
I took 9g this morning, decent results, and 14g 2 hrs ago. Great buzz, decent energy levels, stomach feels fine. I'm liking this 1/2oz dose. That will be breakfast tomorrow.
PO, how's shipping costs work? I need to order something for the holidays... . . .

My 14 g dose green malay last night was nice. Full on noddin', completely chilled out, even a little itchy(mild hives?) I felt buzzed for over 6 hrs., and got a lot of shit done. And not so much as even a little burp.
I'm trying 14g Thai red vein this morning, Plus a little

Yea, is the web page up and running? You got the US shipping ironed out? What payment options do you have? I won't use PayPal, but I do use Dwolla when I buy from another vendor. Not sure if it works in It takes a few days for the money to get in the account, but there's no additional charges or fees I have to pay.
I just bought one of these for 00 size caps. No more choking down 14g's of powder.

I'd be happy to spend the couple dollars more on my purchase and throw some business to a Growery member.
Let me know, brother... . . .

7 g and I'm good to go for the day.
That reminds me, time to I feel like death warmed over, and the wife won't share her codeine cough medicine. She can't stand the taste of 'K' or take pills easily, so the kratom is all mine. . . .
