I drink Mate pretty regularly, does it have a positive effect in conjunction with the Kratom?
I'm waiting on a small amount of Kratom right now to see if I like it...my first experience was kind of meh.

hmmm...mild effects, nothing to write home about.
I steeped 8 grams in hot water for 5 minutes, drank it, re-steeped, drank it, re-steeped, drank it.
I've got a VEEERRRY light head buzz and that's it.
Thoughts or recommendations on how to potentiate?

Okay, well for the sake of not wasting my kratom, I just pulled all of the slurry out of my french press and ate it.
Not pleasant, but maybe some stronger effects.
I thought that the tea was how Gaskelort did it, and he reports great effects.

I usually have to do bigger doses than "normal" of any drug I try. Just genetics I guess.
I'll hit 10 grams in a couple days and see how that treats me.

5 grams of kratom in a shot of Malort, then 5 more in a shot of brandy.
I've got to buy some capsules b/c I dread getting this shit down the hatch. 
Feelin' good now though, spacey, warm, and heavy like I just woke up from a good night's sleep.

I had a brutally weird hangover today...
Woke up feeling drugged and spinning, kept feeling like I was gonna throw up (like when you've had too much APAP from pharmaceuticals). I'm still feeling a bit off.
The wifey feels the same way, but didn't do any of the weird shit I consumed last night, so maybe it was just a bug.
Either way, we both feel like shit.

Does most everyone here just cap their own?
I love kratom now, but eating/drinking that shit makes me gag.
I made the mistake of trying to mix it with water and swallow 4 grams at a time and I puked in my sink before I could even get it down.

I do find that if I overdo the Kratom, a bowl helps with the nausea though.
Sounds like your gut wasn't having any part of that 13 g dose.
