I've been getting baked and listening to music for years and years and it never gets old. I love weed by itself and I love music by itself but when I put the two together the experience again and again it just feels me with ecstatic emotions. I'm thankful I can have this wonderful experience so cheaply. I'm just a working class dude and haven't been able to travel much recently. There's a lot things I can't afford. But I can have a high quality first class experience with a few bong hits and my iPod. Just felt like sharing. Peace.

I will just sit there and listen to music
Not many of my friends are into it
So its usually a solitary experience
Which is better anyway

In my appartment, we got a smoking room, which holds a huge sound system, really great quality, and a vinyl table. I just love doing bong hits while listening to good albums, these days I mostly listen The Flaming Lips, but I got a lot of Beatles, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane...etc. it just

The lips are one of my fave bands of all time and I've always loved Hendrix when I was a teenager I had 3 Hendrix tshirts and I wore one almost everyday for years lol
To the second poster what techno artists do u like?

I dont have much of a library because I had shitty internet for so long.
I listen to a lot of the Buddha Bar stuff mostly.
Also like Bachelors of Science, Kamo and Crooked, Calibre, Tiesto, and Alix Perez to name a few.

If your into hybrid ambient/techno sorta of tunes check out the Buddha Bar compilation.
Most of the songs have an Asian or European twist as well. Great to zone out to.

I saw the Lips in concert last summer, they played the whole Soft Bulletin, ending the show with Do You Realize, we were on MDMA, totally crazy show, the best I have been to!
They are supposed to make a new album in 2012, can't wait to buy it!

I've seen them live several times. The first time I think they were touring their first album. Most of the shows were in small clubs. But after they broke through and got so famous I only saw them once, doing Dark Side at Bonnaroo. In-fucking-credible. With most bands I prefer early stuff but I think The Soft Bulletin is their finest work.

Maybe a little closer to chill out than techno by my definitions but I'm not so up to speed on what everything is called

Yeah The Soft Bulletin is one of my favorite also, but I am more into their psychedelic albums (including Soft Bulletin of course), I really like Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Clouds Taste Like Metallic, Dark Side of the Moon, At War With The Mystics, Embryonic, Zaireeka... I am starting to listen their older stuff, some of it is quite great, but I gotta say it is a bit too punk for me...
I cannot chose my favorite album between Soft Bulletin, Yoshimi or At War with the Mystics... they are all just so fuckin incredible!!!

The song Halloween on the Barbary Coast really gets my balls tingling lol
Do you have the four separate discs for zerieka (sp) ?
I have some mix I downloaded
I remember listening to it stoned in my bathtub with the candle light totally freaking out

Yeah I bought Zaireeka, which include 4 cds, haven't been able to play them at the same time yet, but now that I am in appartment, it can be done easilly (I got 2 sound systems and we got 2 x-box)

Ahhh I wasnt sure what they were at now, I just downloaded the discography like 6 months ago.
Its mostly ambient but there are some very techy tunes.
I need to get the new ones.
