Ready for some... Football!!!
    #632582 - 07/25/12 12:29 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Training camps begun today.

My buddy is going to be on HBO Hard Knocks this season, so I cant wait to watch their training camp. The Dolphins have an interesting team. I dont expect them to be above .500 but they will come to play every single week.

My Cowboys signed CB Morris Claiborne today. 4 years/16 million; paired up with FA Brandon Carr who Cowboys gave 6 years/50 million and Mike Jenkins who I believe is in the last year of his rookie contract. Cowboys have the ability to do great things this year. I expect a Superbowl. This is the year everything clicks and we go from having the worst passing defense to having the best

Even though the Cowboys play in the hardest division in all of football, I am willing to bet you the Cowboys finish better than the Texans

I bet you a 2 week ban

And by better,  I mean go further in the postseason. If neither makes postseason, then determine by records

Well this is certainly entertaining.

I dunno Picklez, Texans did pretty good last year, even with a 3rd string QB.  I love my Cowboys and all, don't get me wrong, have always been my team, and always will be, but we've got to get it together, for real.  Haven't done shit in the playoffs since Romo's been around.

It's weird though, because statistically, he's ONE OF the best QB's in football.  They were talking about it on ESPN the other day, NFL Live I believe it was, just hasn't done shit in the playoffs

I like the Cowboys chances this year. Our biggest problem over the past couple years have been our secondary. Now that we have addressed that through the draft and free agency, I really like our chances this season.

Damn, my buddy who got drafted by the Dolphins was cut from the team yesterday. I sure hope he gets another chance with another team. The guy is big, strong, smart, and a hard worker.

I am ready for opening game; my Cowboys play the Giants. I am ready for my Boys' to make it to the Superbowl this year

Week 1 highlights for me;

Cowboys winning. Huge win. Road game against a division opponent. Only 2 more road divisional games left this season

Texans owning the Dolphins. Texans played great on defense. Forced 4 turnovers

Falcons looked good over Kansas City. Matt Ryan was excellent

Redskins upset the Saints. Dont usually root for the Redskins but it was nice to see RG3 light it up, and I hate the Saints so I am glad they lost.

Vikings beat Jacksonville in OT. Most important was a healthy Adrian Peterson who added 85 yards and 2 TD's

Jets completely destroyed the Bills. BUT it was the Bills

Bears beat Indy pretty badly. Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall reunited and looked great together. Marshall had 9 catches for 119 yards and a TD

Yeah he looked pretty good. Cowboys defense is a little better than the Saints. Saints were a mess

Here is my Shroomery League team, tell me it's not stacked. I posted the most points in week 1 of any team with 132

QB- Jay Cutler, Joe Flacco, and Big Ben
WR1- Brandon Marshall
WR2- Dez Bryant
RB1- Arian Foster
RB2- Adrian Peterson
RB3- Frank Gore
TE- Jason Witten
K- Janokowski
DEF- Houston

Bench-
WR- Justin Blackmon
RB- Cedric Benson and Alfred Morris (If waiver goes through, getting rid of Knoshon Moreno for him)
TE- Greg Olson (going to get a WR for him instead of using 2 TE's now that Witten is back and healthy)
DEF- Cowboys

Unstoppable? I havent ever seen someone have Peterson, Foster, and Gore all in the same team and Cedric Benson as a backup is a starting for a lot of teams

Both teams have a legitimate shot, I think Dallas more-so than Houston though. Dallas is better than Houston, you must agree to that

Monday Night Countdown!

Carolina at Philly tonight. Hoping Cam Newton comes out and plays well. He's regressed quite a bit this year

Cant blame Andy Reid for the problems in Philly. I think any team would suck if they lose their starting QB, their starting RB, and their best WR.

Was nice seeing the 'Skins beat the G-men last night. RGIII is a stud
