I finally got some sleep. It cooled down here. Watching the shining. Pumped to get paid Thursday.

Why should that mean it isn't real?

Yeah, we need rain bad up here. My whole lawn is sooo dead. I'm afraid to smoke outside because one spark would set the whole fucking thing ablaze.

I am going to hit up one of those "day labor," places tomorrow
I am desperate to try and make some money so I can get the fuck out of Arizona
I would like to get 500 bucks together before I take off, but could leave with as little as 150$ (bus pass costs) since I at least have 200$ a month in food stamps to help survive on
Thinking I might just pick a city, go there, stay at a men's shelter for a couple weeks= month until I land a job and start banking my money to get my own place

What makes you think you're promised a shelter for weeks? Have you ever tried that route?

What do you mean? I am talking about homeless shelter...
No I have never tried that route before. But as I understand it, they give you a place to stay for awhile
I am not limited on what city I go to, so I can scout shelter's out ahead of time

That's what I'm speaking of. From what I understand, you're only holding a room for a day , but only if you wait in line. Having a room for longer is called temporary housing. That requires a statement from a shelter or the courts proving your need and you're going to have to be reviewed by a case worker. That's how it works here in Houston. I've had family that were homeless.

Hmm.. that sounds similar to how it is here in Phoenix but I know there are short-term places for men
I know the YMCA often helps young men with temporary housing as well

Fuck it homie, nut up and live the full blown hobo life. Ride the rails, get a harmonica and a dog and you're set.

There's a layup yard not far from my place. You can stay here until the next train leaves.
I'd love to be a hobo but I can't until my grandma dies. I'm enough of a disappointment, I'll let her go to her grave only medium disappointed instead of fully so lol.
