Temperature, humidity, co2, ph cheap

Hey guys...my last grow was a failure so I'm trying to do everything right this time. I own a homebox S. I've been looking online for a gadget capable of measuring the relative humidty, CO2 and temperature of the grow room/homebox but all the ones I've seen are very expensive...on average 300/400 dollars...I saw a couple of cheaper ones at around 150/200 dollars....so I wanted to know if you know any good quality option that is cheaper...are the ones costing 150/200 good enough? I'd be willing to make the investment as long as it doesn't go over 200 or 250. I still don't have the money but I guess I would save some to buy it or something.
Now the ph questions: I bought myself a soil ph meter and I wanted to know if I can use it to measure the water's ph too or if they can only be used on soil. The ph meter also came with some pads to be cleaned with but the pads can only be used a couple of times...is there any other way to make this work without having to buy pads constantly?
Thanks a lot in advance for your answers

No the tester cannot be used for water. You would need to either get the pH drop test kits or a pH pen for that.
I have not used one of the cheaper environmental controllers. If I were you I would go for it, but make sure that you have at least a 90 warranty on it. Or go for the Expensive one and not worry about it.

Thanks a lot for your answer! so that's the normal price for a controller? around 300/400 dollars? I guess I'll have to wait and save some money for that but it might be worth it down the road...if you or anyone else around can recomend a trusted brand/model that would be great too

Yeah that's the standard going rate. I think it's ridiculous as well. But that's the way she goes bubs.
