PS3 is dead for the second time. The repair lasted a year at least. I guess it's time to just bite the bullet and buy myself a new one. It's not like I actually use the backwards compatibility often enough to make it worth fixing this thing again.

Yeah I was thinking of just getting one off of craigslist. Rent's due soon though, so it's gonna be a few weeks until I can afford it.

Oh lets see....Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Fight Night Round 4, Dead Space 2, Tiger Woods, Red Dead Redemption. And a few others I don't really play. Actually I pretty much only play Uncharted 3. I was about to buy the new SSX. But I guess that's gonna be put on hold now.

It broke because you didn't add me on PSN dood.
My PS3 is going strong...its a slim though. I use it a LOT. And when I'm not using it, someone else is. It probably really gets like 8+ hours of on time per day, since I use it as background noise in my house and netflix is my main TV source now (fucking tinnitus).
I was gonna get UC3 but got the Vita one instead. I also recently got Rage and Dead Island because they dropped to $20 each new.

I rarely EVER play online  I'm just not competitive and people get pissssssssed at me for being a newb. I played the Bioshock 2 multiplayer of all things quite a bit 
And DJ Hero 2.
Dead Island is supposed to be awesome online.

you should shoot at your PS3 with a shotgun then buy an X-Box 360, mine has never broken since I bought it ... and I bought it the first year they got it out.
Dunno if I am just lucky or if it is good quality, people keep complaining about X-box but I think its kewl.

I've seen a lot of x-boxes broken. Plus PS3 has better graphics.

Yeah, I have a buddy who has went through 5 xboxes. Hes switching to PS3 next time it dies (after playing mine, he decided to switch).
I had all 3 (Wii then 360 then PS3) and I love my PS3. I grew up with Playstation (well, Nintendo first) and the controller is just more comfortable in my hands. I couldn't really ever get the hang of the 360 controller.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. I find myself enjoying the PS3 exclusives a lot more too. Not much I feel like I'm missing out on on the 360. Except maybe Alan Wake.
