Trichome harvesting??

A big problem in my past has been being to impatient and harvesting early and being stuck with not quite as potent buds for months (sucks balls) Anyways that shit isn't happening again! This sunday will be week 10 of flowering for me in soil. Its blue venom (from g13 labs) its an indica dominant hybrid. What I'm wondering is how long should I expect it to take trichomes to switch from cloudy to amber. I know they vary and from my research so far it says indicas go quicker then sativas. But I would really like the opinion of some of the growers hear. I always get great advice here, thanks guys

Usually from the time they start to go cloudy it takes another week or two for them to start to amber up

I was under the impression that 10 weeks flowering in soil was usually max for peak yield. Could it take 11-12 weeks in soil or does that sound abnormal?

it varies from strain to strain
get a magnifying loop or mini microscope to check for this.

It just depends on what strain you have. Some can take up to 12 weeks, some take as little as 6.
