less then or equal to 1% is in the BHO
more is in a lighter
how much do you need to make BHO
that would depend on how much matter you are using. and the (volume/area?) of the tube.

so far i have used two cans of vector on 2 grams bud 12 grams trim. My pipe is a pvc pipe about 11 inches long. I just am trying to decide if i should buy and run one more can through it

Wow, two cans for 14g? Plus another try at it? I have a tube that fits apprx 27 grams. About 12-14" tall and 1" ID I think and I run 1 can of 320ml vector. I did try a second extraction with another can after pulling it out out repackage the tube. Was shitty IMO. Looked like a cannabis plant took a shit, if they could. Was green and kinda runny, at least it would hold any shape and I couldn't get it to budder up. That was bud that I had used and got 4.5 grams first run and .5g of the poop bho. Not worth it to me, I ended up just giving it away for basically the cost of the second can.
Let us know how it goes.

dammn lots of BHO going around these parts....
watch out for buds that are recycled alotta fucks are passing off really snazzy looking weed thats been soaked with butane....
lets say someone smokes the buds.... how bad is THAT for you?

nah not all of the butane evaporates...
swim got buds that weren't crushed but butane extracted I'm sure of it.

not only that but extracted cannabis would be all but worthless I'd imagine and I don't know any people who extract using whole buds. You get the best results from grinding your product anyways.
To the OP - Two cans? Entirely too much. Rule of thumb, run the butane until it comes out clear, once it's clear you're just wasting chemical. I have a glass tube which holds about 4 grams dry material. I run butane for about 10-20 seconds and wait for the brown/tan color to go translucent. Once it starts coming out clear I'll run it for maybe just a second or two extra and stop.
A single can of vector can get me through 5-6 extractions easily. Keep in mind I'm only running 4 grams of grass, so, YMMV on how long each cans last.

Do you have pictures to prove it? It did look weird as all hell, extra super crusty orange,
it smelled weird, it crunched up weird... just plain weird lol

The buds are extremely hard, crusted with orange trichromes that have too many spikes on their trichromes (maybe spikes is a bad word... lets say shards)
The users of the supposed Butane bud all reported getting high, but with a mild headache, mild throat and lung pain, and a weird feeling that their lungs were lined with thing coating.
Lastly, the buds all corresponded to a BHO extracters shaped. They all looked as if they had been stuffed in some sort of tube.
So.... I am positive they are not post-vaped buds.... any other comments? I wish I could upload pics but I lost the stupid bag

interesting... someone should do a ratio of butane to bud as to get rid of any unwanted side product.
As for smoking extracted cannabis, I believe it may have been on blue light or shroomery so this is not coming from me. But I have read that people who purposely did this did get high depending on how much butane they used to extract the THC out of the plant matter.
The accused butane weed was bubble berry something artisinally grown and should have been outstanding and STINKY 
unfortunately it smelled plain old weird... nothing like pot... more like leftover butane :/
remember I'm not positive or saying it was butane laced but I really think it was

What I think the residue was, was evaporated butane... just because I have seen my friend extract that shit all of the time and the coffee filter he uses becomes saturated in orange crystals that smell like DANK.
My theory is that the bud is being lightly extracted, left to evaporate or perhaps put in the oven at a really low temp and then sold off in dark light. Remember to always smell and look at the shit before hand, cause this shit smelled weird!
The residue is probably a minuscule amount of butane with lots of that carcinogenic byproduct that is leftover....

Even 5x filtered butane leaves that smell on the extracted bud. I wouldn't doubt if someone ran whole buds and sold it. I remember getting beaster that was kiefed to shit a few years ago.

This is one guys opinion. That would never happen around here and have never seen people getting this shit before, EVER. Sure someone COULD do this. But all the left over BHO I've ran has NOT seen crusty and crunchy like you're talking about.
I'm a moderator because I grow very well, know a good amount of knowledge about growing, and help people on this site all the damn time. I sleep well considering the quality and yield I get
