so are superthrive and clonex both used for rooting clone cuttings?
I know clonex is just for cuttings but can superthrive be used for the same thing or is it just for nute suppliment?
and is this ph tester good enough for what Im doing? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H78ZI0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

The clonex is what you want. No real need for superthrive, until there are at least signs of roots, imo. As for the ph tester I can't help ya. I use the ddrops by GH. But I'm sure someone will let you know.

Im just tryin to figure out what superthrive is for.. everyone keeps telling me to use it but what for/why?
Ive read the label on the bottle but it just confuses me further as to why I would use it when I have the foxfarm nute trio and organic soil, Im only moving them one time from the seed starter to 5gal buckets till harvest.

Superthrive helps plants and their root systems deal with many types of stress. In my experience it helps with root growth as well.
I personally quit using it about a year ago.
Be sure when using it, to only use a few drops per gallon, I found that anymore than 1 ml per three gallon is a bit wasteful.

so its good for plant health over all but doesnt do anything for yields, kinda like adding gypsum to mushroom substrates..

I have a water quality question about hard water.
I have high iron/sulphur/calcium etc from my well water
it leaves behind the orange stain kinda water.
how much of an issue is it to have this water for my plants?
and will it throw off everything when I start using fox farm nutes?
I looked into r/o machines but they dont remove sulphur so that is pointless for me. :shrrug:
Ph isnt my issue only the minerals and nutrients levels and the effect on my plants in the long run.
will it change flavor or will it cause nute lockout?

Depends on how high the PPMs in the water. It probably wont hurt to much. Just don't go overboard on the FF nutrients.

what are possible reasons for the edges of the leaves to curl up just on the edges?... heat? that last couple days were hot but its all under control and back down to 75-80 from 95+
im hoping it was just the heat...

The leafs are curling at the very tips? or do the whole leaves look a little weird? Spidermites can make the tips curl up a bit but the leafs often look very funky...
what your describing though.... i fuckin have the explanation at the back of my head but I'm sorry i can't help more my head feels fried right now....
I don't think it has to do with the temp although 95 is fucking HOT i donna...

yeah just the edges, I'll see if it gets better after they get watered today. I think they were getting cooked by my light when my A/C unit quit for a couple days. temps are good now though.

Heat and low humidity is the number one reason for this.

I wish I didn't lose my grow bible. It sounds like a nutrient issue to me... but I can't think of what nutrient I'm an amateur you see, at best. Do you have that Cervantes book?
