Autoflower question

Accidently received an Autoflower seed with a recent shipment. No experience with them. Anyone know which of these lighting options is preferable? 24/0 250w MH, 12/12 1000w HPS, or switching between the two (12 hours MH, 12 hours HPS)?

Well are you already running lights for other plants? If so just throw it in with those. If not I wouldn't spend the money on electricity to grow 1 auto flower with a 1000 watt. I would run at 18 hours on.

I'm running the flower room 1000w 12/12 and a veg room at 250w 24/0 because above that is my cloning area that needs to run 24/0 under T5. I'm doing SOG so the lights will be on anyways. I don't mind moving the plant if that's best. I'm just wondering if switching between MH and HPS (which is what I'm doing now) would stress it too much.

Eh, I doubt it would stress it enough to cause it to herm. But hard to say. I'm not real familiar with autos. But my thoughts would be if it can get enough light next to your plants under the 1000 watt I would stick with that'

ya prob end up getting same amount of energy either way tuff call. id maybe put under floros for a couple weeks then under the HPS and put on a stool or something. there pretty hardy buggers. best thing you can do is make sure u give it alot of root space off the hop, and not transplant it more then once. only limited/fixed life so want to min stress time and therfore recovery time. Also gives them space for there limited "Veg" time to grow lots of roots. peace

for.what its worth, I've found that it will grow better under 12/12 than 24/0. I generally give a little get and when its sexed put it in the flower room.
if there's no room or you don't have it set up it will still. do ok and finish 24/0. they just grow kinda funky.

Why should that mean it isn't real?

mmmm could be the strain but I get a lot of webbed leaf and 3 blade leafs when I 24/0 with it. I mean the difference is more or less trivial but Idk I just prefer the way it grows 12/12.
they seem to finish up quicker in the flower room too.

I heard you shouldn't transplant them, top them or supercrop them, but LST is ok. Transplanting into a bigger pot between day 14 and day 18 was said to keep them very small. To look up on Youtube search for: "DrAutoflower things to know about autoflowers".
