ONE bean, TWO sprouts!! [Querkle ***NOW W/ PIC!**

yes, SWIM popped a Querkle bean that sprouted two tap roots, and when planted, it also sprouted two seperate plants! one is significantly smaller than the other one, its abnout a 10:1 size difference...so im not sure if the smaller one will die off, or if it will just be slower cuz its getting the lesser of the nutrients...
how rare is something like this?? i dont have that much experience, but i will cherrish this shit. It is a regular bean, so there is still a chance it will be male...but i am keeping fingers crossed.
If anyone knows anything about this occurance, id appreciate any info. Like is something like this more prone to hermy? can it be a male AND female in one? or does it have to be one sex for both?....etc. it just makes me so curious.
thanks in advance! your input is appreciated!

I read a post on another forum on twins and I think the consensus was that most people haven't seen it! Neat that you have something so uncommon!
The guy ended up with a male and a female he bred together...he tried to germinate the seeds, but he did it really quickly after he harvested which doesn't always work...To my knowledge, seeds usually need a bit of a dormant period before they're ready.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

and i wouldnt waste anyones time either, this is legit. i will try to keep this updated as it gets bigger. it will be for outdoor this year ....so long as its twin females.
i was just curious if it was very common or not, and if it was more prone to hermie or anything like that. or if it is more likely to be BOTH a male and female...
just makes a guy think ya know, this is fuckin nuts. it started out with two tap roots and didnt really think anything of it besides "damn thats pretty cool", but when two plants popped up it really caught my attention.

ok i was doing some reading, and some people said that it is two seperate plants as fat as root system is concerned...and that snipping the smaller of the two earlier on may be the wisest move. With both growing at same time both plants end up struggling that much harder to thrive and so neither plant beneits.
So unless i hear any objections, im going to snip it in a day or two.

That makes sense to me. It seems the larger plant would choke out the other one and be the survivor.
