Autoflowering Big Bud X Northern Lights question

Hows it going guys, I just had a quick question for you all. Is it possible to clone an autoflower strain and whats is the success rate.
The particular strain I am currently working on is Big Bud X Northern Lights (Auto).
Thank you, ~Skunk

Well yes and no. Sure you can take the clone. But it's going to be on the same chronological time of the plant you took it from. And that means it wont have enough time to root and grow to a decent enough size to flower.
So if you want to clone just get a real strain and make a mother plant.

Pretty much what I was thinking, just wanted a second opinion from an experienced grower like yourself. I do not have much experience in A/F strains. Makes perfect sense honestly. I was considering Big Bud but researched that it is very hard to clone, any information on this matter would be appreciated. I would love to work with this strain. Thanks for you help, ~Skunk

i hear there is an afghan strain that flowers under all light cycles except 24 dont know if this plant exists or not but that would be a good option for you

Mmmmmmmmm, I'd love a strain that did that
As a generic question to anyone reading, do autoflowers actually have a "veg" period? And what I mean by that is, is growing an autoflower more or less the same as 12/12ing from seed?
With my autoflower girls, I've noticed that most of them will start to show sex right around the third node, or at day ~14. Now, whenever I've grown a plant 12/12 from seed (only 3 times) they have followed a similar pattern. I assume this is the earliest a plant can produce flowers?
Which makes me wonder if the autos actually have ANY veg period whatsoever, since they flower ASAP instead of further along.
Maybe a dumb question.
-------------------- Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

The only dumb question is an unasked question. For the most auto's don't seem to have a veg phase. However I've been hearing about some photo sensitive auto's that will veg and refuse to flower in greater than 18 hrs of light. How true this is is beyond me, for I haven't grown any of them yet.

I've heard of the same thing. But that kinda makes them a non auto strain.

I feel the same for the most part. It wouldn't be auto where days are longer than 18 hrs, but would be everywhere else in the world. Like where I'm at, the longest daylight hr we had last year was 16.5 hrs, so it'd be auto here. The genetics most likely come from some strains fount near the equator.

That'd be really cool to me. If I could veg out an auto indoors all winer and put her outside in May, and then harvest her by July...oh lawd. The clones I'd veg...the clones!
I don't think our longest day is 18 either.

Thank you for all your replys, it is greatly appreciated. I am going to be working with a strain Mohan-Ram for this year, has anyone worked with this particular strain. If so what kind of results have you had both with cloning, and yield. Thank you for the time, and hope to hear from you all.

Interesting. I think we had a discussion about one that did that a little while back. Something about using it for scrog or some such thing.
I still feel like this disqualifies it as a true auto though in my book
